I was thinking this to myself today. It's (the next few days trades) going to be a let down. I feel like a spoiled little idiot now. I'm checking the web every chance I get to see what we got, like I'm at a sushi buffet...I'm going to eat until i feel like shit.

Seriously, we made a great trade already, we aren't going to top that, not even close. We should just stand pat and see what we can do, lets stop being greedy and pushing our luck before we make a bad trade.

Everyone's going to talk shit about us like we used to about the Yankers and Sox. We will be buying our championships. When we don't win, we will have no excuses we will just be more mad than ever. No more blaming McCunt and no money. Is that what we want?

Seems like we could possibly get him similar to how we got Hanley. Take on salary and send a lesser spect.

Well, something better. Kemp, Ethier and Ramirez in their primes. Like 2009/2008 this team IMO is a couple of big pieces away from a legit WS shot. Make it happen, roll the dice.

 

DBB seems to handle problem children quite well. He establishes expectations and motivates. Beckett can fucking pitch. His ERA is up this year in that division. I think in the NL West, he throws throws a no hitter...lol.

Might be worth it. He has postseason experience that has had positive results. I would argue he is better than Dempster despite the ERA thing.

And for whomever was talking rotation, it will still be a five man. Someone is pushed to the pen. I would guess Lilly until he gets full strength back. And then it become whomever is blowing worst.

If we make the playoffs, we need four pitchers: I am guessing it will be: Kershaw/Insert Neds latest Grab/Capuano/Bills

 

I think Hart moves up on my list from 1b to 1a

 

I have read the term "going for it" more times this year from reputable sources than I have since many moons ago. NEVER did we hear that during the McCourt Era. No, Ned is getting another one or two. We are trying to win the whole fucking thing. About damn time.
