If I have to give him any credit, it would be that he was relatively closer to the plate tonight, even on his misses. But really, I fear Dave will see this as a big step forward and commit to him for weeks or more longer.
i can't fault the guy for going out there when his numbers called not every guy can pull off a scherzer that easy and walk away
The pre and post All-Star slump for the Cat Man appears to be in the rear view mirror. Thought he could have gone another easily. Nice return for Barnes after his sabbatical. First hiccup for Ferguson. Fucking walks. Shouldn't be too surprising that runs are coming at a premium in Milwaukee. They trot out a quality starter every day and have a deep pen. That's a playoff caliber staff. If only their offense was as productive.
Btw, feeling remiss in all this Krumbel reviewing, about Tony Gonsolin. That was as good as it gets...he was absolutely lights out, and seems to rebound dilligently after a couple of shakier starts, which he won anyway, I believe. Just Don Newcombe- like in scope. Large and in charge.
Odd, that as bad as it got with Toomgis, it's actually worse (except for the 17 game cushion), with Krumbel. Krumbel is actually worse than Jansen. And he could be excruciatingly bad. Dave is always, in my world, teetering on the cusp of the luckiest, inept, douchebaggery possible by a single human being. He's right up there with the POTUS and the VPOTUS. All three were up for the part of the Scarecrow, but Toto bit them.

Remember in Robin Hood when Flynn, in disguise, entered the archery contest and split the previous bullseye arrow ? He was announced as the " Tall Tinker"... Well Dave's a tinker, too. Or a tinkerer. The "short, pudgy, faced tinkerer"... Do you see wisdom in those eyes ?
