    Cards acquire Randal Grichuk from Boston for Fernando Salas
    by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com

    Along with Peter Bourjos, the Cardinals acquired outfielder Randal Grichuk from the Red Sox Friday afternoon. Boston also acquired reliever Fernando Salas in addition to third baseman David Freese.

    Grichuk owned a .256/.306/.474 slash line with 22 home runs and 64 RBI in 500 at-bats last season for Double-A Arkansas. Salas posted a 4.50 ERA in 28 appearances last season for St. Louis.

    Didn't the Yanks offer Cano like 7 years 161MM but yet they sign Ellsbury to a 7 year 153MM deal. HOw fucking odd.
