Probably because he was on roids and his peak wasn't sustained long enough. I'll say this though...nothing was cooler than staying up late as a kid to hear Vin say, "Bienvenue, Monsieur Gagne" as Guns n' Roses blared in the background. And he would shut the opposition down with those pitches you described. That Bugs Bunny curve was incredible.
He just wasn't around all that long before the injuries got him. 2 great years with 1 AMAZING season sandwiched in there and it's all sorta ruined due to the whole steroids thing. Man did I love me some Gagne....
Gagne's prime was just so short. Kenley has pretty much had the same dominance for twice as long. Gagne is easy to compare, and Kenley wins out on longevity. Marshall is the tougher comparison, simply because they don't make Mike Marshalls anymore.
you guys do realize all the slurping of kenleys scrotum is not a smart mojo move right? as far as gagne goes that was smoke and mirrors so i intentionally left him out and as long as we are auditioning relievers lets see some more of paredes dave
Gagne was a comet, Mike Marshall was only here 2 years but the obvious choice is Kenley. Loved watching them all and witnessing Kenley's dominance SO FAR is amazing. The thing about Mike Marshall was that besides his durability he was only 5'10", relied on that screwball. Gagne was 6'2" and 195 while Kenley is a very LARGE individual. Wonder what Marshall's walk up song would have been lol. Less than 3 hours before Kersh's game against the Omaha Storm Chasers, weather permitting!!!!
Least favorite Dodger "closer": Danys Baez. It seriously feels like that idiot blew every game he was brought into.
Not being contrary here, but watching the Nerds and what they are doing is NOT better than the Walk of Shame...
