If he screws up I fear he will be run out of town.
Just a reminder: if we should make it to the WS, I'm pretty sure Kershaw will be out there a couple of times.
Uh, not positive, but pretty sure.
So, he is not going away just yet...
I am on a group text with my Dodger fan section of my family. I’m the ONLY ONE that is saying for the love of god, don’t use Kershaw. They all love him and feel he can do no wrong(A few are season ticket holders). My brother in law legit called me last October and asked me why I am so against Kersh in the big games. The end of it was they all feel bad for him and want to see redemption. They’d rather see him try and fail, then someone else be the guinea pig.
so what you’re saying: pitch him tonight in game 7 so if we do make it to World Series, he only pitches until game 3. 4D chess
Hearing on MLB radio this morning that Graterol might get the ball to open.
With Gonsolin likely (and hopefully) getting the bulk of the innings, I would hope the decision makers would take into account whether Gonsolin is more comfortable starting or coming in out of the pen. If he doesn't mind coming in out of the pen, I'd go with Graterol. I think he's perfectly suited to be the opener.
<now he'll get hammered for three runs in the first>
I don't recall writing that...if that's what I felt, I would have written so, but I just put out a FYI reminder.
But it seems that there might be some who think that he's not going to be used at all...and it's just ain't so.
So those so full of dread over him, should probably take out their hara kiri kit.
IF we get there, that is.
Don't know about 4D chess...something that Spock played on Star Trek, wasn't it ?
Either way... unless the bats produce runs aplenty... no lead is safe, even if LA gets a lead at all. This Braves team is likely to pull some crazy shit. Freeman looks unhinged. Ozuna is nuts enough to swing at a pickoff throw and get a Manny Sanguillen double out of it. AND ... I checked the stats. The kid Acura hasn't done shit yet in this series. 4 for 25 with ZERO homeruns. That can't last.
I say it'll take 10 runs to win this game. But then ... WTF do I know anyway?
still unwashed turner jersey locked and loaded...
... and ready to wash after tonight's crushing defeat
I don't think it is going to be a close game. The winner is gonna win by at least 5 runs, imo. Two rookies getting bulk innings tonight in a game 7 has me thinking someone is going to jump out to a big lead early and never look back. Gonsolin has been arguably our best PITCHER all season(not just starter), yet nobody is treating him like such. I think he either comes out and shoves or gets absolutely brutalized with nothing in between. I kind of want to see the club just lean on him, let him start and see what happens. Stop babying our young pitchers, accept the consequences and maybe some of our young players will grow up sooner.
Feels like the second biggest game since 88 outside of game 7 vs the cheaters. The Brewers game 7 felt so different because Boston was so much better than anyone else that year.
Hoping for “shoves”
Maybe Barnes will have a Mike Scioscia moment.
If we win tonight, Kershaw is the most likely person to get the ball in Game 1 of the WS. The optimist in me wants to say he has looked better this year (pre-playoffs), he had a gem against the Brewers, and the Rays are easily a step down from the Padres and Braves offensively. The pessimist in me wonders if he’s hurt and thinks about all the history of bad.
In reality he just needs a short leash. Treat him like we do Dustin May, and things wouldn’t be as bad.
I was just making a (bad) joke
thats kinda what I thought and I like it. Gonsolin has been good out of the pen, that’s why they tried out openers this year
Brusdar is good but honestly he doesn’t get enough whiffs to use him in middle to late innings with people on base. Let him start an inning and see how long he gives you. Then after that, you can either bring in one more reliever to get bottom of order or put in Tony. Tony was good in game 2 and I feel good about him going 1-2 times through order. Then? Who knows. Depends on offense at that point
Been saying that for years.
About fucking time this lineup puts the hammer down and keeps it down. Great start yesterday, then nothing. Too many sticks in the Brave lineup to keep doing that shit.
@JeffPassan-Dodgers will go with Dustin May to start Game 7 against Ian Anderson. May started Game 5, and on three days’ rest at that, so he’s unlikely to go much beyond an inning or two.
go with what brought you here, let’s do this
Was hoping Pollock wouldn't start or see an AB tonight
