Lol. I own this video on VHS. Must've watched it 100 times when I was a kid. I can recite it word for word. Made me fall in love with the Dodgers.
That was epic. So many heroes that series. I always remember Gibby, Bulldog, Belcher, Sax, and Hatcher having great series. I forgot Stubbs and Davis were so important in the series. What a racist fuck I am.
lmao at Walt Weiss.. dude didn't know how to play SS then and now doesn't have a clue on how to be a major league manager.
I got the box set from a rabid Cardinals fan after winning a bet! I watched it a couple times with my son then gave it to a young nephew to pay the blue blood forward, and it worked!
Lasorda made some brilliant gut moves too. As someone who never watched his teams I thought it was all passion, no brains. Couple of his moves proved me wrong.
Hatcher came into my dads work about 2 weeks and he talked baseball with him for like an hour. Said he was a cool dude. Apparently Hatcher is kinda pissed off at McGwire and Joc not changing his approach enough this season, said he wants to work with Joc. Still does some work with hitters around the league.
I forgot what thread I was in and thought you were talking about Chris Hatcher. Needless to say I was very confused.
