I will say this..getting the #2 pick semi-bails Magic/Pelinka out from having to make a tough decision at #1. I think DLo´s Laker career may have come to an end..probably for sure on the trade block for George with Lonzo more than likely there @ #2 Speculating about what they´d do @ #2 is one thing..actually having the pick now..the opp to lock in a top notch PG is real now
On a side note, imagine if the Celtics trade away this pick... and what they potentially could get for it.
If I´m the Bulls..the #1 overall pick + Jaylen Brown + Avery Bradley would get Butler to Boston for me. That could be seen as overkill, but next year is the final year of Avery Bradley´s contract anyway, maybe they´d offer him up knowing they´d lose out to Pelinka next year in FA and maybe the Bulls would be more inclined to take their chances. Hard to say, the C´s love Bradley..far as I´m concerned, though, the C´s stole this #1 pick from LAL, so I definitely want Bradley in the summer of 2018 now Lonzo/George/Ingram/Randle/Zubac/Avery Bradley/Nance That´s a young, strong 7 man core..everybody 27yrs old and younger, even Avery Bradley
Yeah no we're all saying he should go but it sounded like you thought he had a higher value than originally expressed. Perhaps I'm awry. Doesn't matter. I don't want Mozgov or Gortat. Who cares? We got #2 again!! Paul Pierce gifted the #1 to the Celtics.
Just math buddy... still Lakers/Celtics at the top... LOL Fuck'em Celtics had a 64% chance and it came through. Lakers had a 47% chance and moved up when Philly (55%) fell. otherwise it worked out pretty much like it's supposed to.
So now that we got the #2 pick, I bet the #28 pick is gone to Indy for George. The question now is who are the lakers giving up. If George has really said he is going to LA that hurts his trade value. I lead off with Clarkson/Nance/and the 28th pick
With Magic's friend Bird now gone, the Pacers are going to play hardball considering how vocal George has been about going to LA, and how the new GM has to prove himself. Minimum is someone like Russell, Ingram plus any of Clarkson or Zubac and the 28th. But actually, I'd walk on that and wait for FA for George.
NBA executives aren’t happy with lottery results but Magic’s dancing on them Haters gonna hate hate hate hate hate hate. by Drew Garrison May 16, 2017, 7:25pm PDT http://www.silverscreenandroll.com/2017/5/16/15651080/la-lakers-draft-nba-magic-johnson-no-2-pick
I would not trade any of our young players for a player we can most likely get later when we are closer to competing and we know what we have with Ingram and some of the others. If George decides to sign with another team in the offseason then so be it. We will have cap room for somebody else. Plus we got lots of wings. The way Nick Young has been playing why not just give him 33 minutes a night to see if he can score 18, hit big 3's and play good defense. And that dude is essentially free. I would be hesitant to give up Nance in a trade for George. We need that energy off the bench at PF. And no way Zubac. Dude has mysterious potential. Imagine his game if his 3 point range was solid and he developed a knack for being all Sam Perkins out there.
Derek CarrVerified account@derekcarrqb Is it weird that I was really juiced when the @Lakers weren't the 4th pick )) #Top3
Annnnnnnnnnnd we're off.. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...ms-asking-lakers-about-pg-after-draft-lottery The Los Angeles Lakers landed the No. 2 pick in Tuesday's NBA draft lottery, and multiple teams responded by "evaluating trade packages for D'Angelo Russell," Jake Fischer of Sports Illustrated reported. LAL about to build DLo's value up and ship him to Indy.
