I don´t even know why LAL is waiting for a buy out..Clarkson and Corey Brewer for Wade, done.
Needle probably @ about 33-34 wins currently, add Wade and get closer to that 40-41 number.
Team had interest in trading for Wade before the KCP signing..hoes need to hurr up..nice opp to get rid of Clarkson´s contract while adding the mentor for Zo that they´ve been looking for all summer

Oooh Tilman Fertitta just bought the Rockets for 2.2B..Tilman a cousin of Frank and Lorenzo, formerly of UFC. They've infiltrated the NBA. Lol Good for them. Yeah, you're getting at least 1.5B if you sell the Pacers..Simon should hop to it and stop bitching

@DodgerLove, did you see Zo's OG Bruin brethren Baron Davis coming to his aid VS Lil B the other day? Hah OG Baron looking out for the home team. Zo had a point though..to a degree..Nas' newer stuff isn't getting a whole lot of play. TBT, it's been a steady decline since Illmatic and It Was Written. Not a lot of shame in that, hard to live up to those, especially the debut.

Last time Nas was truly news-worthy ( before now) he dropped the 20th anniversary remastering of Illmatic 3-4 years ago, so Zo actually just helped him a tad here. Saying that with all due respect to Nas of course. Illmatic is still the undisputed world heavyweight champ/greatest rap album of all time 23yrs later. Nas will always be the boy king for a lot of hip hop heads..you saw the uproar Zo caused with that hot take. Always been amazing to think that Nas wrote most of Illmatic when he was just 16-17yrs old.

@ 00:15 seconds in the vid below..shooter's bounce/roll = excellent sign that his touch is coming
I said it before, over all the years I've played ball, I haven't known many lefties that are incapable of shooting and it looks like Randle is coming along.
Luke said it..start out knocking them down in drills, then 5 on 5 in practice with guys defending, then eventually bring it to the game.
He's in ridiculous shape too, BTW..LeBronesque shape it seems there.
Footwork outside still needs to some fine tuning, but Lonzo there to make the game easier for him + Lopez there to give him more space inside = opportunity

Do you think Wade is worth it? It just seems like by doing that, you are giving up on young talent like Clarkson for an older player on the back end of a career.

Plus at what contract cost? How does that affect the cap?

Next off season is the big play. It seems it's better to be patient this year....let Ball and the gang gel a little and then see what the FA's do.

I'm not one who cares for Clarkson all that much, so I may not be the guy to ask. He sucks defensively and he squeezes and holds the basketball while making poor decisions too often. The same reason you hate Westbrook..Clarkson is Westbrook if Westbrook were way worse. Does he have potential? Sure. I suppose all young players have potential to some degree.

Wade, old as he is with as much mileage as he has, is still productive on both ends of the floor and would indeed be a hell of mentor for Zo. Wade regarded as one of the best men in the NBA, especially among the stars. If they trade for Wade, he still comes off the cap after this season while Clarkson has multiple years left on his contract.

But whether I want Wade or not obviously doesn't mean anything..LAL had interest in trading for him before signing KCP, so I'd imagine that under the right circumstances they'd still have interest. https://www.silverscreenandroll.com...e-agency-trade-dwyane-wade-chicago-bulls-news You know you're desperate for a mentor for Zo when you try to sign Derrick Rose..the same Rose who just disappeared last year without telling any of his teammates and coaches, nobody knew where he was.

I didn't actually see/hear anything about Baron's response and I can't find it anywhere online. What did he say?

I mean, no doubt it's tough to live up to those first couple of albums but he still pops in with some heat here and there. It really is incredible to think about how young he was when he wrote Illmatic. I think a lot of people kind of forget that somehow. He definitely isn't as relevant these days for sure, but there's no need to even bring up Nas' name like that. Not really a big deal though, I just thought it was funny more then anything.

Basically, " stall my lil bro Zo out, Lil B " Lol
I can't remember the rest, but as we know, OG Baron has Bay Area ties, so Lil B backed off for him

I'll have to dig deeper and listen out for Nas, which is crazy to say in itself, but those are the times. To write Illmatic @ 16-17 and then basically have only 1 feature on that whole thing was incredible, genius work. Not many can do it, and that's across all genres. AZ's verse on Life's A Bitch basically said, " if you're on this album with Nas, your shit better be incredibly outstanding " and it was. Zo made an error going at one of the kings, but yeah, it was funny. Especially with Lil B leading the charge Lol

Executives Around League Critical Of Pacers Owner Herb Simon For Tampering Accusations

The Los Angeles Lakers were recently accused by the Indiana Pacers of tampering with former Pacers All-Star Paul George, who has since been traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Because of the accusation, the NBA began a private investigation on the Lakers, and eventually found that Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka had a conversation with George’s agent, Aaron Mintz, this summer, although Mintz also represents Lakers forward Julius Randle and former Laker D’Angelo Russell. The result ended up being a $500,000 fine for the franchise, although it could’ve been worse if they lost draft picks or the ability to sign George in free agency next summer.

Tampering is not something new to the NBA, in fact, it is quite common as players, coaches and executives throughout the league admittedly often speak to other players and agents, according to report by Ric Bucher of Bleacher Report:

“If you’re not cheating by the letter of the law,” says one former GM, “you’re not trying.”

Adds a current Eastern Conference GM: “You don’t get free agents without it. [Tampering] is what the whole league is built on. That’s the only way you can get anything done.”

Furthermore, executives throughout the league are very critical of Pacers owner Herb Simon for accusing the Lakers of something that just about every team does:

That’s why the executives contacted by B/R were surprised the Pacers demanded an investigation by the league at all. One called it “bush league.” Several others opined that the Pacers must’ve had some hard-proof evidence. Almost all presumed owner Herb Simon was simply too irate about George’s proclamation that he would leave in free agency to let him go quietly.

While the Lakers were fined by the league after the conclusion of the investigation, the matter may not be finished yet as it was recently reported that Simon may attempt to sue the Lakers and the league as he is not satisfied with the consequences the Lakers received.

But barring any more evidence nothing can be proved so the Lakers may be the ones getting the last laugh if they are able to sign George next summer.

So there it is..Simon targets the rest of the league with a potential lawsuit and they shoot back
They probably had his back, at least against LAL, until he threatened to sue the league with all that negativity tied to it
I'd bet shithead Donnie Walsh is probably leading the charge for Simon..since he did such a great job with the joke known as the Knicks
Cannot forget that Donnie Walsh signed Amare for the Knicks and traded all those assets away to Denver for Carmelo

Explain to me how players under contract with different teams are allowed to influence each other to join another team and that's not tampering, but an informal meeting among an agent and team official and a off hand remark on a talk show about a player is?

Also...the Pacers are poisoning the well of teams that do this all the time.

They know they can't stop players from talking and planning, but they feel like execs should be held to a higher standard. Standing behind their " letter of the law "

Los Angeles Lakers president of basketball operations Magic Johnson said Monday he told team owner Jeanie Buss she could take the $500,000 fine for tampering with former Indiana Pacers forward Paul George out of his salary.

Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times passed along comments from Johnson, who called the situation a "mistake" and said he'll "make sure it doesn't happen anymore."

"We can't say a lot but we will correct the situation," he said. "It's under my watch. I apologize to Jeanie, and that was the main thing. I told her she could take it out of my salary because I don't want the Lakers to be paying that fine. … I don't want her spending $500,000, because she didn't do anything. That's on me."

What other exec is cool with forking over half a million of their own money?

Not a bad idea, can help entice LeBron. We can renounce him in the off season and resign at vet minimum or room exception and regain full bird rights to sign to bigger deal two years from now

“ I would like to state neither I nor the Pacers have considered legal action toward the NBA or the Lakers regarding tampering. " - Herb Simon

Probably the result of anon execs bashing him
    Either way, done and done
