Its like the problem of having too much money and not enough time in the day to spend it.
Some problems are nice to have.
Like having kobe having kobe play out the string jacking up shots.
Small problem in light of all the rings.

Yeah you guys are probably right.. I'm just not into insufferable whiners and cry babies like LeBoner

Let him stay in the East and get his ass handed to him by the West team each year

    Lakers interested in Festus Ezeli
The Lakers, a source said, will have interest in Ezeli, seeing his size and rim-protecting defense as an ideal complement to forward Julius Randle. L.A., of course, just hired Warriors assistant Luke Walton to be its coach. Ezeli had the best months of his career in November and December, with Walton filling in while Kerr recovered from back surgery, and before Ezeli’s knee injury.

Gotta worry about the games played column here.
Cheaper, somewhat safer option in comparison to loading Whiteside up with 20+MM a year

I think he's the best center option available considering his price tag. Kent Bazemore was buried on Golden State's bench for years and now he's performing at a high level for the 4 seed in the East. I think Ezeli will do really well with a big increase in minutes.

    Yeah I like him too.
The knee worries me tho, they're talking about it taking 50MM to get him signed, so he's gotta be available more that he has recently playing for that price, knees have gotta be up to it.

Biyombo sounds like the nerd buy here over ezeli. While Festus probably is better overall, bismack should come way cheaper and brings everything Festus brings. High intensity, great defender/shot blocker, good rebounder (leads league in rebounding % whatever the fuck that is) and all around great dude. Could attract demar if George or other trades don't pan out. Im buying in.

Love Ezeli's game, but worry about his health. Have the same worries about Whiteside's attitude.

That was Bill Simmons. I think he sits around and cooks up horrible trade ideas for the Lakers and hopes they stick.

As if you honestly think the players were tanking..... stop it

Clarkson shouldn't be a starting SG on a top notch team in the league.

Much of defense is about effort.
Hard to prove anybody's tanking, but when the effort on defense is inconsistent you don't have to.
    Gotta stop labeling Clarkson.
Year before last he was labeled " PG that can't shoot/not a SG ", neither one true today.
Clarkson is progressing fine, needs to stop jumping over Jenner's head, but other than that he's coming along

    GSW downed again.
Long live the 2001 Lakers' 15-1 playoff record, most dominant when it really matters

I disagree with "much of defense is about effort". It's talent and practice also, just like offense. You can't just try real hard on game day and be good defensively.

Also " focus " regarding game plans, but all of the above falls in line with effort, effort in practice, making the effort in film study, etc.
But certainly in this instance Clarkson has the athletic talent to be a good/versatile defender and so much of his deal is about effort during games.
You get a good sense of this when you watch Los Angeles Lakers basketball games.

I dont know if you play but defense is the easiest thing to learn even on the streets.
And if you play organized ball you obviously have been taught.
Specially once you been through college.
Steals and blocks are noy defense per se. They are either the fruits of a good defender that come through effort and timing or they are stats an athletic gambling defender likes to rack up.
Athletics can be improved through effort but only to a point.
Skill and timing can be supremely improved through effort.
And of course effort in and of itself is the biggest contributor to defense.
Sasha was a horrible defender with very bad lateral quickness very littke strength and no fundamental skill. But every year he got a little better until he was sometimes our best option at pg due to fisher being so much slower and oft injured due to how much effort he also put into becoming a somewhat average defender.
Larry Bird was a horrible natural defender but he employed great white boy defense. Which is great effort at the right time and complete floor awareness always knowing where his man is where the ball is and where both are going.
Effort isnt just about running hard and flailing your arms.
    Its about caring.
Like everything in life you wish to do well.
If you care you will out perform guys way better than you that care less.
Most bad defenders are bad because they are careless.
