Donnie is a fucking muppet. We have Romo and Hatcher in our bullpen, five runs is never enough. Fuck him. Dick.
As the Colorado kid with game said when I posed the $$$ issue concerning Stanton, it's a deal that'd likely require Miami's new ownership group to eat a portion of the contract..not unlike what the FO wanted from Milwaukee in regards to Braun. I acknowledge the injury issues with Braun, so you better believe I do the same with Stanton. However, I also acknowledge the FO's methods and how they're willing to gamble on guys who have lengthy histories with health issues. Which is to say that targeting health issues as a reason not to do a deal is damn near arguing that the LAD FO will indeed consider the acquisition. Anyway, the obvious differences between Stanton and Braun are age and ability to handle their positions defensively. The much older Braun being pretty bad in his corner OF position and Stanton being pretty good in his corner OF position. And then instead of getting an older everyday guy when you're trying to get younger and usher in a fresh era, you're doing the opposite with Stanton. You talk production..the guy is hitting 25-35 bombs in injury shortened seasons, so injuries be damned, he is producing. Not to the level of his current contract, but pretty good. There's a chance that people will look at Stanton's contract in a couple years and say " what a waste ". And then there's also a chance that Stanton finds some luck and stays healthy because he is still just 27yrs old. If he were 34 or 35yrs old I'd say " fuck that, he's never going to be healthy. " So if MIA is willing to eat some money and take that AAV down some the risk may be worth it.
A little uncool, but I fucking love Taylor Swift. A modern pop star who can also write her own songs and play her own instruments, AND can sell out any arena worldwide. Talented and a great role model for young girls. Also, 1989 is a great album. Fucking take that.
Ultimately, he plays a position can be easily manned with far better contracts. I don't ever see him been worth more than a couple of wins at most over the next guy earning league minimum. And that's providing he stays healthy. Simply not worth it, IMO.
mattingly should be suspended for essentially the hbp was on purpose (as if there was any doubt) and btw 5-0 isn't that big a lead it's not like we were stealing bases or bunting fuck you mattingly so grateful he's not our manager
ned is actually very good on the pre- and post-game shows i like kennedy, but not as much as you (homo) karros, meh jerry would be a lot better if he'd stick with stats/facts and abandon the shtick orel and nomar are average broadcasting but good in the studio alanna is very good too but that kelly chick is terrible imo
"I think it was just one of those things with Ramos, the ball got away from him arm side, and the same thing with our guy,'' Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. a very nicely worded way of saying "their guy did it on purpose, so we did the same" and lol at mattingly saying he was upset at us swinging at 3-0 pitches with a 5-0 lead one manager exhibiting diplomacy, the other a hayseed buffoon
having young daughters makes you appreciate these things we all love sexy women but when did it become a requirement to do a striptease to sell a song for a woman?
thats weird you say that i was sitting w my mom watching the game sipping on a kettle one and cranberry and was actually distracted by the same thing lol but i kept looking for it
Whatever the Hoosier Loser thinks, or why he justifies it on his fucking tractor powered brain, does he expect us to just sit back and watch our kid get drilled in the rib cage by a 95 mph fastball? He actually may have, on second thought, since the previous response from LA on these very same matters, has been less than heroic. About time we responded in kind. It's not an ideal situation to throw a hard ball at someone, especially at had high speeds, we all know that...but if you do it on purpose to our players, we will return fire. Just so the Indiana Idiot knows.
Or one is being honest (whether you agree or not) and the other is being a politician. Take your pick. Frankly Scarlet, I don't give a damn.
I like Ned on there as well and he provides a different type of analysis since he has a scouting background. Jerry would be way better if he stopped trying to be best friends with every player and give shitty nicknames to everyone By the way, semi-cool story about Ned: article in the latimes says that when Bellinger came up and struggled in his first series in SF, Ned texted him words of encouragement and that he'd turn it around. (He did turn it around)
Hope the Marlins don't throw at any Dodger. That shitty team ain't worth a serious fight and the chance of someone getting injured.
