We have got to get out of our AAA affiliate. Everyone knows numbers are inflated. It does nothing for gauging our guys for us or other teams.

 

The whole PCL is like that, so unless they want to change leagues we're going to be dealing with this for a while.

 

really hope corey seager hits himself into the bigs quickly. im excited for a first round position player

That's more of a problem in terms of fans misjudging the players than scouts or other teams. Teams know when a player has potential or whether it's just ABQ. But fans see .300/.360/.500 and, rightfully so, freak out, and call Jerry Sands the next Matt Holliday (I remember somebody here made that comp last year haha)

Yeah, the PCL just seems a bad indicator overall. I think we should move to the California penal.

Well I went out on a limb and said based off of minor league numbers and height weight that Sands' high ceiling could be Matt Holiday lol. Too bad he'll never get another chance; he did well when he came back in September but never got it going in ST and subsequently back in AAA. Pretty good for a guy drafted in 809809867th round, I suppose. I still hope he can do something.

Nothing has specifically improved about him this year. The stuff is still where it was, and even projection guys need to show some progress, or else they'll be passed by other players.

Watching Yasiel Puig's workout - if nothing else, I can tell you he's not out of shape.

 

So either in 2 weeks that man went HAM on some p90x x Insanity workout or some of those reports about him being overweight and out of shape were false or over-exaggerated. smh

 

i know it was said Paco Rodriguez had potential to be up this year
so far so good(2 games i think)

is he on the fast track?
i wonder if they actually call him up this year
