Jay Bruce was just scratched from the lineup as well (I don't think it's related to Verdugo/Bellinger tbh)

could have been looking at archer or moore for one of them
and then tampa [could have] asked for both, and we be like...

The Springs is another 800 feet higher than Denver. Place is worthless as a baseball developmental city. Nobody wanted to play there, but the Brewers had to when all other options were gone.

I've seen it a couple times now in the last couple of days where someone has said that the Dodgers feel that Verdugo could be ready now to contribute at the big league level. I'm not sure if this is them just trying to build up more interest in the kid, or if they really are considering bring him up some time this year. Would think if they felt that way, he would be in OKC already.

There are alot of guys in AAA so it could just be that they don't want to have to make crazy rosters moves who knows but from what I have seen he's really really good and only 21. We shall see. Alot of rumors regarding Archer on mlb network so not sure he'll be packaged but IMO that would be a mistake.

Yeah, AAA OF is gonna be pretty full now. They just added a high upside 5 tool potential RF'er who just needs to get his shit together. Could be an interesting kid to watch down the line if he can figure everything out.

Two Mitchell's (Hansen and White) have been added into the clubs Top 30 as also has Andrew Toles after I believe he was removed at the halfway mark. Pitching took a hit today, but the reports I was reading after an initial meltdown all had the 3 guys we gave up pegged as relief pitchers. I was shocked by that, but apparently there were a good many folks that felt Holmes was regressing. IDK, I'm still a bit bummed that we gave up some huge upside for rentals, though that tune may change upon a resigning or WS ring.

I more bummed about losing Montas than Holmes

Cotton may seem inconsequential compared to the other 2 guys but he was good too

Our farm is deep, so we can absorb the blow, but the A's did really well, especially after Hill went on the DL ugh

Yeah I saw that too, not really surprised by that on Holmes tho, that was underlying assumption for a while.
He was lacking in natural feel and pitchability.
I'm with LA96, Montas was so close to being a factor in the show and then rib injury after rib injury and then gone.
97-98 with movement and 101 4-seamer, I know he has the slider, but I wanted to see 97-98 with that movement.
    Oh well.
Of course Cotton was always right on that line of starter/reliever.
    The " core 4 " survives tho
Big day for Yadier Alvarez, climbing the ranks, and Lux is probably Top 10 now, right?

Agree with most of the assessment but we thought Montas was close and then he got hurt. Got close again and had to lose a rib. He may just be injury prone who knows. Plus I think they were making a mistake trying to stretch him as a starter with that fastball.

Doesn't matter "really well" the A's might have done.

They're a AAA franchise and should be disbanded.

He may or may not be injury prone, but I still liked the talent and the potential there.
I'm good with the package that they sent, though, didn't mean to give off that perception if I did.
I have a feeling Reddick is a keeper ala Utley, aside from being really good with the bat he's a gamer and plays with edge...also battles some injuries and is a potential platoon play so he fits like a glove going forward :D

It is all the fucking Giants fault. Talk about being a gigantic piece of shit franchise. The A's give you the sole TV rights to San Jose to save you from having to move to Tampa Bay. Both your current city and the area you are given explode in expansion with billions upon billions of dollars getting funneled into it. Meanwhile, the baseball town of the Bay with the best franchise of the past couple decades takes in the outcasts from your boom and sees its economy tank from it. So the only thing they can do to get out of the cellar and out of their now total shithole of a stadium is for you to give them the opportunity to build the stadium in the part of town that they gave you to save your ass... but you refuse and fight lawsuits from that very town that wants a baseball franchise for themselves instead of stuck with the hour drive(on a good day) to your fucking stadium. I hate that whole fucking deal, the Giants get the rich areas and the A's get basically fucked. It would be nice if more baseball fans would see what they have done and lob more hatred towards that fucking piece of shit franchise and their dumb fucking fans.

Really excited to see what this Puig prospect can do. Only 25 and already at AAA! I hear he's a five tool player, oozing natural ability. Keep an eye on this kid.
