    i wanna hear what Ripken has to say.

    Ripken couldn't even name a reason why he was taking the Cards over the Dodgers in the post season..said he couldn't put his finger on it..and then it happened.

    i wanna know what he thinks about this team..or at least get his feeling about the team.

    Kemp and Upton just did their first back to back against the Giants. Sorta funny as Bochy bought his son in to face Kemp with two on and boom. Followed by Upton with a boom. Thanks dad!

    Have you followed the Padres at all so far this Spring? Their 25 man roster position players are doing well. Their young players are oh well ready to head back to the minors. Just the opposite of the Dodger kids. Their position battles are becoming a war with players launching rockets. The starters leave the game with a lead and the young kids get beat.

    and we all know spring training performances always mean something
    scott erickson says hi
    their whole roster should be sent down for defensive training
    so they suck?
    and that negative dwar outfield will launch lots of throws into the stands
    no different than any other team

    Hmmmm sort of puzzling a Around The MLB thread that discourages talking about other teams. A tad egocentric or ethnocentric some might think. But then the species is what the species is.

    i'll drop an elbow on a Pads' fan..the kinda elbow that Dusty Rhodes, Randy Savage, and The Rock would be proud of.

    this is the dodgers forum
    the around mlb thread is to post relevant mlb news
    not for you or anyone to come here and constantly spout off about the padres
    you don't see the yankee or cardinals posters coming here to bombast about their teams
    and you know why?... because [like the padres] they have their own designated forums for that
    no one else here in this forum cares about the padres
    so if you come here and praise them you should expect to get bashed
    you claim to be a fan of both teams, fine
    but most [if not all] of us aren't wired that way

    New title: Around the mlb thread except talking about division rivals? Irish I'm a little disappointed on your view of this thread. A division rival is pretty relevant in my opinion. I get it that seeing posts on an hourly basis can be annoying but this is America!!! No but seriously you should be able talk about the entirety of baseball in this thread. It's not like Matt was here a year and then gone, he was our home grown talent.

    like the guy said..you come in here bragging about the pAAdres, expect to get bashed.

    when Dodger fans are here laying into the pAAdres ( as they shoud) nobody wants to see any of the whiny " don't talk about my pAAdres " shit in those instances and then later on see the same pAAd fan here bragging and talking about the pAAdres when they do something good. it goes both ways and that was my point when i posted " stop talking about the pAAdres " because that's exactly what the pAAd fan said before when Dodger fans were refusing to slurp their off-season moves.

    can't wait till the Dodgers kick their pAAd AAss all " Around MLB ".

    Always a Dodger fan.

    As a kid I liked the Red Sox. Lynn, Yaz, Dewey, Rice etc.

    Having played the game for nearly 20 years, I was following the entire game and studied all players.

    The Kings and Hockey were always a close #2.

    Now? The Kings take precedence. They have a real coach and team championship brethren.
