Some interesting stuff here. Interesting that you think Machado would've been re-signed if they won it all. Totally disagree with your take on Kershaw, it won't be like Greinke having a couple good years, he is legitimately an all time great MLB pitcher that shouldn't wear another uniform. I like a lot the idea of toning down all the platoons, that should help a lot. and about the trade market, I sort of expected them to be really active. I fully expect Kemp to be gone but I am unsure of his market. I fully expect at least one of Wood or Maeda traded (likely Wood because he's a lefty and has 1 year left on his deal and is probably someone we don't want to pay). I think Puig stays, but I think Joc can be had and I also think Chris Taylor and Kiké could be had too. Like honestly with Puig, he is the heart and soul of the Dodgers, no matter what

Yeah that Puig guy (does have a knack for making things interesting in a lot of ways, despite the fact he) really sucks! :D

Roberts makes all his pitchers look bad with his idiotic decision bring back Kershaw not as a top ace paid pitcher were it doesn’t hamper your spending flexibility and I would be ok with that

How about this turn of events..the great Giants, who just get it done, want a nerd

As inconsistent as Puig is, is that supposed to be a good thing? A player that was almost traded multiple times ( including this season to Baltimore), who got demoted, who has some of the worst ABs you ever wanna see for multi-week stretches..is the heart and soul? No wonder we ultimately die and get ethered every year.

Putting in my bid for a new LAD heart. Hope we don't have to wait too long. With Puig @ heart, Kersh @ brain, and Kenley @ guts they're falling short with no end in sight. One of them has to go so the Dodgers can live long enough to die again. We know it won't be Kenley with the price tag attached to him. It should be Kersh, but that's up to him at the end of the day. Puig's still in the prime of his career, so I'd prefer to keep him over Kersh. One way or another, though, time to break this corny ass group up.

Back in the day had a friend was really pale with freckles...you know, real milky Irish kid.
Well he fell asleep on the beach while laying on his back...both hands were on his chest and his head was turned to the side. He told us not to let him fall asleep for any length of time, but we met some girls down the beach, so we totally forgot about him.
When we got back, he looked like a lobster, literally...fire engine red.
But the worst things were his hand prints, clearly defined in milky white over his nipples- like they were spray painted.on. His fingers clearly defined and open.
And one side of his face was beet red, the other untouched.
He looked like he was painted up like some looney Redleg or Cardinal fan.
When we met the girls we hooked up with that night on the boardwalk, needless to say, he stayed in the room.

David Price just picked up his option for 4 years/$127 million. Not necessarily a good comp to Kershaw, because that's considerably bigger than Kershaw's option, but worth mentioning.

I don't see where Kershaw's leverage is. If he opts out he needs at least 4/100 or 5/120 for it to make sense, and I could see the market failing him on those expectations.

If an underachieving, unprofessional is your heart and soul you're fucked.

Obviously, you don't like the guy for again, obviously, his unprofessionalism. I don't think anyone can argue with that statement.
But Idk if he's " fucked"...
Baseball is his life right now, but considering what he came from, and the kind of life he could have..."fucked" is not the description I would use...me anyway.
"My strength is as the strength of ten because my heart is pure".
Teamwise, we were fucked a long time ago, and it's most certainly not Puig's doing.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter how good Kershaw is, how hard he works, if he gets his velocity back or how he learns to pitch with lesser stuff. The only thing that matters is that he is not a winner, whenever he is tested he fails.

If the FO doesn't mind having a bonafide loser when the lights are brightest, resign him.

Kershaw is Mike Tyson. He will beat the fuck out of everyone until the opponent makes it a fight, then he will lose. Over and over again.

I would give him 4/100 knowing we are already on the hook for 2/70. But 4/100 straight up? Maybe. I figure that’s the minimum though, otherwise opting out is a failure.

Puig is the guy we need to keep because the attention he gets for all the stupid shit he says and does it deflect away from the other players plus as much shit he takes he actually produces. I just truly think Roberts consistent change of playing time does not let these guys get in the zone and go through prolong slumps. In other words Roberts creates his own mess when you don’t need to play everyone due to our versatile players.

Roberts needs to stop this bs. Sometimes you just have accept that certain players not everyday players and are good off the bench

Hernandez, Barnes, Kemp Freese & Taylor which are complimentary pieces

They are quarter horses not full blown horses

Borderline Diffrence makers can go north or south but have potential in tools with youth

Puig Bellinger Pederson Seager & I will add Muncy

Yeah I’m looking at it as, I’d give Kershaw 2/30 for the 2021 and 2022 seasons right now and be confident he’d be worth it

Hahahaha So much win in this post, especially the Tyson comp. Lol Good god that was a classic comp. I'd like to add that it also doesn't matter if he's your #3 in the postseason..he's gonna get bombarded just the same. Now, he's supposed to learn how to pitch with lesser stuff on top of also learning how to pitch in the postseason with the bright lights and everything on the line? FOH

Oh, what a message that sends to the youth coming up through the LAD system. Oh yes, failing upwards is a thing here in this org..you can blow all the leads/games in the postseason that you like..here's 100-120M contract for such performance, kind sir. Smh If this dude doesn't just sit the fuck down and play out the final 2 years, let him go. For him to even opt out and go looking for a payday after another failed postseason run is sketchy on his part. He's focused on winning? Yeah, if he's focused on winning..sit down. Don't opt out. Let's see it.

I am just amazed of the talent we have assembled that we couldn’t close the deal.

I truly believe any manager they chose will get us to the World Series just because the Nerds do an amazing job in putting a team together and adding at the trade line to get us in the playoffs.

Yes the players choked and folded like a lawn chair but under no freaking circumstances do you as a manager compound it with your mistakes and you as a coach must never cross that line were players like you to the point that they feel comfortable to fail and you continue to play them.

This is why you have the minor leagues available to go play and work out your struggles

    Tommy was unprofessional as hell.
Underachieved with all those HOF on his teams.
But he was the heart and soul of the Dodgers.

Have you ever met a guy who folks view as very professional and an overachiever who was the heart and soul of anything?
