I really HATE trade and signing seasons, which is one of the reasons why my activity level on this site has slowed to a crawl (the other being that the abundance of bitterness from the annual October face plant by Roberts and Co has not even begun waning). All the odds, predictions, speculation, mock trades, Monday morning quarterbacking, and even leaked quotes from the decision makers almost always amount to a big, steaming pile of nothing. I'd rather hear zippo from or about the team... I can just check in on April 1 and see which 25 players the Scarecrow will get our hopes up with during the regular season and then embarrass us with in the LDS. Is that possible?

Who exactly is he angry at? Because in my book, it's meaningless to say you're angry if you have the power to do something about it and you don't.

And he's both extremely angry and very confident? Say what???

And lastly, doesn't the team always show up in spring training with championship aspirations? Is this supposed to make us feel better.

This quote just reeks of trying to patronize us. I'd even say I'm extremely angry and very confident that they'll come up short again in '24.
