I know full well I'm a cockeyed pessimist, but from what I see and where we stand in the FA game after Freedman happened, we are becoming a joke. You just may have the formula to what is going on with Andy, and the all- important "perception" of the faithful after all the fails.
I guess when you have a juggernaut dynamo like Roberts pushing the buttons, you really don't need the players ( just make a show of it)...his talents will suffice.
I believe we will have a kid rotation.
    That's OK, too.
But CK, Gonzo, and May/ Buehler are gorillas in the mist, I fear.
CK may very well be done, and imo, May will always be with the walking wounded. Buehler seems in the past, it seems so long now and have no read on Gonsolin. At all.
What do you do to a pitcher when you purposely pitch him when you know he's injured ?

I really HATE trade and signing seasons, which is one of the reasons why my activity level on this site has slowed to a crawl (the other being that the abundance of bitterness from the annual October face plant by Roberts and Co has not even begun waning). All the odds, predictions, speculation, mock trades, Monday morning quarterbacking, and even leaked quotes from the decision makers almost always amount to a big, steaming pile of nothing. I'd rather hear zippo from or about the team... I can just check in on April 1 and see which 25 players the Scarecrow will get our hopes up with during the regular season and then embarrass us with in the LDS. Is that possible?

    • According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Giants and Yankees have emerged as favorites to land Cody Bellinger.
now we know where he won’t be going

lol at Nightengale, but I do think he'll be a Giant if they miss out on Ohtani.

    heyman’s already hitting the bottle

“Dodgers love Yamamoto. They are the one team really thinking maybe we can sign both Yamamoto and Ohtani. That would be interesting.”

“Obviously we’re extremely angry and disappointed with how these last two seasons have gone, and we’re going to do everything we can to put ourselves in position for it not to happen again next year,” president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman said.

“What that means exactly, I’m not sure. But I do feel very confident that when we show up in Arizona in February, we’re going to have a team that has very, very legit championship aspirations."

Who exactly is he angry at? Because in my book, it's meaningless to say you're angry if you have the power to do something about it and you don't.

And he's both extremely angry and very confident? Say what???

And lastly, doesn't the team always show up in spring training with championship aspirations? Is this supposed to make us feel better.

This quote just reeks of trying to patronize us. I'd even say I'm extremely angry and very confident that they'll come up short again in '24.

eh, another year of heyward is fine w me
gives us flexibility especially now that Outman got picked up on the small world ride
think Kenta would have been a nice sign especially if we are hoping to land more Japanese dudes
