    My main squeeze was a big Bowie fan, saw him many times over the years, and described his new video as exactly that..."dark and full of despair" when I asked how it was...amazing.
    He didn't live in the past, and smart enough to not claim to know the future, but he saw the present and couldn't ignore it, perhaps.

    It sucks when people you admire so much, even that you are in awe of somewhat, for whatever they gave you as an individual, pass into eternity.
    Mine are pretty much all gone now, and not only because I'm old...as some ( most) died as young people. Although we never knew them personally, their absence leaves you lonlier somehow...in that measure you loved them for in your life.

    I was just looking at birthday cards for my wife this afternoon. One had two younger women on the front, and one asks the other "Where is your birthday party at?"
