have at it bkitches
LETS GET IT.
so taylor slashed .391/.483/.957 this spring
yet roberts elects to go with pollock and his .178/.196/.267 line
Already pissed at AJ Pollock for striking out in his first at bat
Kershaw is hurt, Dustin May is starting today. Yikes
First lineup of the season
1B Muncy, RF Betts, CF Bellinger, 3B Turner, SS Seager, 2B Hernandez, LF Pederson, DH Pollock, C Barnes SP May
Game number 1 and I’m already appalled at this lineup...
Max Muncy is the first Dodgers 1B to bat leadoff on opening day in 101 years. Jimmy Johnston did it in 1919
*hiding* I actually love the lineup; 1-4 is unreal. Hide pollock low. Pederson hitting 7th is unfair considering how good he is against righties.
My only problem is Hernandez spot but I guess L-R-L-R is nice especially with new rules
Not sure why they are going with Barnes, but as frustrating as it is, I get why they have Pollock out there. They paid him and they need to see if he can live up to the contract, but the word that they already tried trading him last offseason likely means that he has a couple weeks to figure it out or he'll be gone.
I actually don’t mind Muncy hitting lead off. Pollock over Taylor and Barnes over Smith is a ?
Kikè before Joc doesn’t make much sense either lol
They had been saying they were going with Barnes over Smith because he caught Kersh in camp. But 1) Why was Barnes catching him over Smith (did I miss something?) and 2) obviously May is pitching now so
Putting the guy that struggles most against lefties in the lineup between two guys that punish them was probably a part of the thought process with the 3 batter rule.
Mookie told Dave he wanted to hit leadoff all year because that's where he felt most comfortable and Dave said he would honor that.
12 years and 365M later...not so much lol. You'll hit where I want you to hit.
that’s true. didn’t really think about matchups eh
Totally forgot about that. Wonder if Betts gets off to a slow start if they turn that around.
I already can't stand Robots this season, and we haven't played an inning.
I think he will probably tinker and tweak and fuck with the lineup more than ever before. The best leadoff hitter in years, and he's fucking with it immediately.
Gotta be juggernaut type shit, I think to live up expectations.
Kershaw getting the disappointment out of the way early? I can dig it
Roberts is a born idiot
