Bad indeed. Looking at the schedule, I don't see a frigid climate game where the team they're playing is also a good team. They go to Chicago later and the Bears have gotten some hype, but they're not really any good, just basically taking advantage of what's been a down year for the NFC thus far. If I'm Dana, I don't know if I want Khabib to fight Mayweather first or not? Tough call. I mean if Conor and Khabib get back in the ring for the rematch first and then they go looking for Mayweather a year/year and a half from now, Mayweather - another year older - may not bite..or he may in prison for something else. And then Mayweather responded to Khabib's challenge with " get the checkbook out ", so it seems like he's ready for another show. And even when Khabib gets handled by old man Mayweather, people will still be all over Khabib/Conor II thereafter. I could actually see Conor having a big part in Mayweather/Khabib's promotion for their boxing match. Lol Conor the 3rd party troll
Rams PSL sales better than expected for new stadium. Meanwhile, the Chargers are struggling so bad that they have decreased their revenue goal from 450M to 150M. Owners may be discussing their viability in LA and potentially moving them back to SD. Sounds like the owners never wanted them to move in the first place and Stan Kreonke was so mad he ignored Spanos for more than a week after they announced their move. This will be interesting. The only way I see them moving back is if the NFL builds and owns a stadium in SD at no cost to the cheapo Bolts.
Bravo to the the San Diego voters for not approving bonds to build that stadium. That said, the Chargers belong in San Diego. They're the Clippers-lite in LA.

Is MMA still this unstable to have to dip into the boxing well again? If they really want to expand and stabilize the sport, they need to concentrate more on making MMA accessible to a larger audience, promoting their athletes more and by trying to stay away from the possible pro-wrestling shenanigans just for the money. They simply need more fighters that don't look like they just came out of Pelican Bay. My 2 cents.

Yeah so most of you recall that I'm a native Buckeye fan and so over the years I've had plenty of chances to watch them choke on big stages Tonight I'm still a Buckeyes fan, because #loyalty, but boy did they get their arses handed to them today by Purdue. An old fashioned butt whooping, no other way to say it. As it turns out both the Buckeyes and the Dodgers game were on at the same time so Yay for someone inventing DVR's years ago, where would we be without them? It took only the first quarter when I saw the wheels falling off and when i checked the score during Dodgers commercials it wasn't getting better. So I ignored the rest of the football game and just watched the Dodgers. A great game 7 which was 2-1 for far too long for my personal liking. And then Puig went all three little pigs and it was over, another World Series.. that no one on DSP thought we'd reach this freaking year! Then I watch the rest of the spanking. It was good form.. Doc and Blue Eyes will be happy I kept my BP down.. not like the Buckeyes EVER played worth a crap today so I didn't get my hopes up. Just like any hopes to make the Final 4.. LOL... where's my whiskey?? Besides the Dodgers are going to the World Series!! A pretty damned great day all in all!!
Daughter married into a Buckeye family. They live in Hudson, about 35 miles south of Cleveland. Funny how people there go to Kent St, Toledo or Miami but they're united behind the Buckeyes.
Yeah having lived there twice I think it's mostly that there is NOTHING else. Every other sports team in the state, college or pro just SUCKS. But the Buckeyes put together a good program EVERY year so the entire state is passionate about them. Been in SoCal now over 3 decades and no one cares about any sports as much as Ohioans care about the Buckeyes. I love me some Dodgers and Lakers and been cheering them with @LAdiablo for forever but it's still amid an environment where sooooo much else is going on. In Columbus Ohio, or all of Ohio, you have the Buckeyes and not much else
