I know. But nobody wants to hear it.

Everybody loves their own favorite flavor so much they don't notice. Or care.

Sure, I hate this one, so I hate that one. I like that one so I hate this one.
Sides, we all take them, and there's always two. Maybe more sometimes.
But the fact that we can even have the two, listen to the two, although camouflaged beneath our partisan ideaologies so much of the time, is what we should never lose as sight of, and is, or at least was, our greatest strength.

This is exactly the reason politics, and really this country is getting so ugly lately.
My guys are the good guys and the other guys are bad guys with bad intentions rather that than different approaches to the same goals.
So many's choices are blinded by a left-right set of talking points and positions with no room for understanding the other point of view, or the complexity of many choices. So many that see "no-brainer" choices out there.

(besides, you're all hopeless statists anyway :D)

I think a big part of the problem is that many of the issues are artificially diluted down to just two sides (or one side with the illusion of two) by our political system and the media.
Most things have rooms for lots of different perspectives.

This is the point that I've been making all along.

Not to agree with your anti-statist rant but ... it's all an illusion, queue Styx a Grand Illusion

and we all see different dysfunctional sides.

Just because the entire country pushed to retain a free internet three years ago like most of the rest of the free world doesn't mean that Trump and his band of craven Idiots is not doing everything they can to make our lives worse. Just another in a long list of cancerous actions

Oh goodie now we'll all have to pay more for faster access and lose it any time we search for a subject Trump's Idiot's think is unsavory, such as watching NetFlix

Trump signed 90 executive actions in his first 100 days

I know this is a sensitive issue but shining a light is better than living in darkness.

    http://www.businessinsider.com/trum...-april-28-designating-days-weeks-and-months-3

Wow what a flurry of paperwork, most amounting to very little but posturing. Of course a politician is expected to posture so there'e that but Trump has support of BOTH houses of Congress so we shouldn't be reading nonsense about ceremonial proclamations of "Jewish American Heritage Month" and "Older American's Month" WTF? This is NOT why you are in office.

Trump ordered his administration, led by Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, to review where the US could allow offshore energy development, revoking rules put into place after the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010, and putting Arctic drilling back on the table.

Because permitting foreign oil companies to ruin our own country and coastline is very important to #feedcorporations recklessly again. He cares not at all about massive oil spills. Why should he? "We" aren't paying to do so whereas BP and Big Oil are now his (paying) lobbying buds.

Since Defense was already Item #1 in the budget adding an 'extra' 10% is a heck of a lot of money

Don't mind vets getting more assistance but pillaging everything else to do so is silly. Of course examination by % is nearly equally as silly but the amounts in Billions tends to make people glaze over.. too many zeros

Still our Defense spending is larger than countries #2-#7 combined so of course we need to spent 10% more for more warmongering.

Trump Presidential proclamation, March 6: National Consumer Protection Week

March 5 through March 11, 2017 was National Consumer Protection Week, Trump proclaimed, which "reminds us of the importance of empowering consumers by helping them to more capably identify and report cyber scams, monitor their online privacy and security, and make well-informed decisions."

... and Trump behind the drapes giggled "just like WE did when we shut down that pesky CFPB." Queue Alec Baldwin voiceover "I know I know WHILE we shut down the CFPB and pull all of their budget away, let make 'that' very week National Consumer Protection Weak" What a great idea. I did spell that right didn't I? It'll be yuge!"

Executive Order, February 28: Reviewing the 'Waters of the United States' rule

Requests actions for EPA and Army to notify the Fed which waterways do not need to be clean for drinking water

    New EPA site shows
    https://www.epa.gov/cleanwaterrule/why-clean-water-rules

which clearly indicates that profits come before clean water even if over 33% of Americans count on rivers for clean water. Yet another false Trump duality that his witless minions cannot defend. Clean water? I buy mine in bottles, doesn't everyone?

And now a lighter note about corporate fraud

Bumble Bee agrees to plead guilty in tuna price fixing scheme

Tuna giant Bumble Bee is on the hook for bilking customers.
The company has agreed to plead guilty for its role in a conspiracy to fix the prices of cans and pouches of tuna in the U.S., the Justice Department announced on Monday.

Bumble Bee will also pay a $25 million criminal fine.

"[We] will continue to hold these companies and their executives accountable for conduct that targeted a staple in American households," Andrew Finch, acting assistant attorney general of the Justice Department's antitrust division, said in a statement.
In a felony charge filed in U.S. District Court, Justice Department prosecutors say Bumble Bee and its co-conspirators agreed to "fix, raise, and maintain prices of packaged seafood" between 2011 and 2013, after conversations and meetings with representatives of other major packaged seafood firms.

Bumble Bee said it takes the matter "very seriously" and has fully cooperated with the DOJ throughout the investigation.

"We accept full responsibility for needing to earn back any lost trust in our Company and will do so by acting with integrity and transparency in every way we operate our business," Bumble Bee General Counsel Jill Irvin said in a statement.
Irvin said the company hired a chief compliance officer last fall, and has since revised its internal policies.

It's not clear how much federal officials believe the company overcharged customers.

Bumble Bee's senior vice president of sales
agreed to plead guilty for his role in the conspiracy in December, as did the senior vice president of trade marketing. Both remain on paid leave.

Limited competition in the seafood industry has been an ongoing issue. Thai Union Group, which owns Chicken of the Sea, dropped plans to buy Bumble Bee in 2015 after the Justice Department expressed concerns

Because this is how we punish crooked excutives once they are caught, we let them keep earning full pay but now they don't even have to work at all.

Listening to Newt and other old white GOP bogeymen bagging on all thing Bill Maher for his crude comments about Ivanka Trump. Damn do they ALL have their heads up their asses.

First, and most pertinently, the media has always left the first family alone, regardless. Regardless. They all could show some restraint. Including Bill who I generally like but still...

Second, it isn't about what language he used as much as its context. Petty or clever or boorish is irrevelent. It was intended as comedic, where it failed as well. Nobody picks on first family, and especially daughters. Did anyone roast Chelsea Clinton, beside about her haggard looks? OK the Press is mostly liberal and the Dems are libtards so of course they wouldn't pick on her, nor the two Obama girls. Well except for the shot of Malia toking leaf at a concert. But hell if you didn't toke at a concert then I'm not sure I believe you were there. So a bit a press spotlight there is OK. Barry was a fucking hypocrite on that topic anyways and we all know it.

Third, its ALL bullshit that they are using her as a proxy for the enraged anger they have for her bloviating father. Admitted she's a far more articulate speaker than he. She's nicer than he. Far better to ogle, though he does maintain a certain 'curiousity' factor. She might actually be about as much racist as he. Definitely just as entitled as he. Just as prissy. All of this pisses the Press off so much that they've abandoned all premise of objectivity. Scratch that, what objectivity? LOL yeah but still. I expect that she is going to endure, grow from and shine unlike her father after this term is done. She has plenty of mettle and doesn't need much polish. I dunno if she's savvy enough but expect her taking better shots at the press than ole' Blowhard does.

Fourth, this pisses me off, THIS WAS ALL BROUGHT ON BY DONALDS OWN COMMENTS. Doesn't anyone else recall all of his slanted comments "if I wasn't married I'd hit that", while campaigning? He openly lusts for his daughter in a sicko pervy way in private and public and America watched it and voted for him anyways. Too late to complain now ya sicko's.

That is how bad Hillary appeared. Was. Is.

So if Donald can lust after Ivanka openly in the press, and on his tour, then why can't Maher notice/observe and make 'Putin's favorite cocksucker' jokes about her?

Because she's still First Family and it's disgusting on all sides.

    Defense is command and conquer/control.
    Defense is Offense.
Homeland Security is both offense/defense and everything in between, its the auxiliary legion.
    Homeland Security is Special Teams.
Veterans Affairs is the most obvious.
    Veterans Affairs is Defense

So its just a matter of offense and defense then?

I mean I don't want to sound defensive but that's a positively offensive thing to say.

    I'm proud of you
