Some observations from KentuckyVille, USA...

I'm bartending four days/nights a week now, and I've quickly built up a local group of hard-boozing oldsters... we talk about everything bourbon, sports, weather, music, and popculture ... yet I leave my politics OUT of it 100% ... unless they bring it up or ask my views.

For whatever reason, visitors and locals alike wave me on and ask my views. So I warn them that they better really want to hear it, because I'll be honest and I won't apologize if they don't like my words.

Thus far, from a few dozen locals and about 200 out-of-towners from Fla to Michigan, NY to Oregon ... 75% of these people want Biden out, no doubts. Many of those don't like Trump at all either. But they see Biden as an empty suit and the nation is in a mess because of the Dems and him.

But I did have one lady (late 40s) flip the feck out yesterday (finally) when I told her my take on the two candidates. This was after I warned her. And her husband immediately told her, "you were warned .. you wanted his opinions... " Pretty sure he slept on the sofa in their suite later. She was fuming and stalked off. He shrugged and said, "I've never voted for a republican in my life but I will this November."

It really is fascinating how many were going against Biden before the debate and unsurprising how many more are now that he flopped on Jun 27.... yet the polls are still very close and as @Bluezoo said about the non-red wave of Nov 2022 .... it's still possible that Biden stays upright and wins this race and that we have a POTUS named Harris by Christmas.

I'm not seriously worried because I'm well-armed and in a safe place.... but those of you near Mega-Lib zones ... wtf is gonna happen this autumn regardless of who wins? I fear for my octogenarian mother and disabled sister in The OC, and my many friends here and elsewhere on the Left Coast.

 

I rock that top better than that guy. Give me some credit.
