That's true. Chalk up another idotic thing to the long list of things for Mattingly. I'll miss his bat if he leaves, but I won't miss having a heart attack everytime a ball is hit in the direction of the shortstop. The dropoff in production with Rojas last year was pretty big, but as long as we find a decent replacement, we should be okay.
well, Sandoval rejected his QO from the SFaGs the very next day. so now the question is..what is Hanley waiting on? he got his QO on Monday too.. .........uh oh. Lol
I could only hope that. Hanley accepts the QO, that'd be huge IMO. We get a star back for a year, likely trying like a mother to put up huge numbers for a bigger contract. Please accept Hanley, please.
Fatboy will get a bigger payday. Hanleycapped don't get 15 a year from anyone except for maybe the Yankess. Terrible fielder Perfect game killer Free swinger Injury prone
I always laugh when wanting to give one of the top players at a position of need a long term contract. hope you have a backup plan, either way we'll be a worse team next year if Hanley leaves. #TheDebateRagesOn
his good hitting holds much more value than his bad defense, IMO. again, I doubt we'll ever come to an agreement on this argument, but I think his bat is too valuable to lose. Especially when you consider the alternatives are two of the worst hitters in baseball. (for now at least)
If they think a 4 year deal for Hanley Ramirez isn't reasonable, then I might have to question our front office's thinking of baseball.
if you really believe Seager is ready to take over and be half the player Hanley is in the next say 2 years, sure.
