cuz its a love that lasts forever
its a love that has noooo past
    whats my name again
now pass me my fat lever
    cuz i forgot my pass-

    -word im talking logos
    now gimme the code
before i cause the weak to sin
when they look upon this name
and think im spitting on his face

    red letter day coming
like an egg i gotta beet her
    the grass roots coming up
    love is gonna getcha
    love is gonna winya

    this account of no avail
get me back in the game coach
even if its in the back of the bus
frankly my dear i dont give a damn
    im busy dodging scarlets letter

    sooner or later
    its just a question
    a queston of time
    will you get my letter
how soon is now but maybe later

i got another life to play
im not tryin to be blasphemer
but those with no chill in the heater
so put me back in my place
so i can blow from the hole in my face

    sooner or later
go tell that long tongued liar
tell him that gods coming back to town
just dont runaway and let me down
    save it for later.

this a full blown disco beat
it sounds like if its ripe for being exploited by some hyper melanated young whippersnapper with a couple of turntables
specially the part where it goes 'secret secret' with the syncopated claps behind it followed by the high electric piano sounds
could be turned into a modern club banger and a diss track towards some rapper with lots of secrets buried under the sand
i wonder if this song was inspired a little bit by peter o toole
and how the desert smelts men into steel or something like that
and how steel tells no tales

as a dumb kid i was turned off by the effeminate disco stuff
not by the effeminate glam rock, i was apparently down for all of that
i could appreciate the songs being good but they seemed like pop songs that werent really pop songs
i wasnt cool enough to understand how good that was or how or why it even worked
narrow minds are like horses with blinders on for only the thing they know they like
but because of the older people i was always around i was always listening to stuff i thought was kinda weird
until you find yourself humming along to the melody while walking to school

Im partial to what was radio friendly as i didnt have a record player.
The old dudes had the whole albums back in the long play days.
When they would hear them i would listen.
By the time i got old enough to all i could get was the greatest hits cd's.
But im sure you will appreciate this old geezers golden voice.

    anyone here like bone thugs?

    its that time again
when my posts get shorter and an topic
and i go from too fast for love to too cool for school
almost over night after sleeping one good night
its like lithium ion batteries getting refilled and recharged
at least enough so i can get my flow off the floor

Its odd that its not more popular.
At first im like this is too cool for me.
Until i listened to the lyrics.
I like being hit over the head with it.
Or else i end up just bobbing my head to it.
But the sweet spot between the chill vibe the music and his voice make and the hard themes of the lyrics gets its hooks in you.
After you start bobbin your head and get into the vibe enough to let the lyrics work themselves in.
In fact if I was a rapper I would probably attempt to rhyme with that kind of deftness.
But as a listener im not that cool. I prefer getting hit in the head with it.
