    FUCK MARTIN!!

Why go fucking backwards? Lay off that ass clown's knob. Should they trade Gonzo for
James "he's going to win a lot of batting titles in his career" Loney-Goodson?

you do know that Russell Martin is pretty good, right?

your personal beef aside..he's a good baseball player.

actually i wouldn't Andrew Miller AND David Robertson. fuck it. i'm tired of our front office either overpaying bums like League and Wilson, or depending on these kids to finally come up and take hold of bullpen roles. give me Miller AND Robertson in terms of the bullpen.

that's if Robertson doesn't get a QO from the Yankees..which some think he might actually get. crazy.

I was looking for him and didn't see him despite him obviously being there. Definitely I'd throw him on there if I could edit.

I almost think you have to go for Martin. He is an upgrade at both defense and offense over what we have. And look at the catching market, what else is out there.

AJ was the fucking man this postseason, but we can't fall victim to sample size like our dipshit manager who benched Puig. Martin would be a big upgrade

our pitching staff can't even fulfill it's potential with a backstop that can't stop balls in the dirt consistently. i like AJ..and to be honest, i think he has a future as a manager..hell, maybe with us. but he's a backup catcher. nothin be ashamed of. appreciate his post season services, but he must hit the bench.

i was impressed with Joc's ABs..just not so much the results when he put the ball in play. but it's clear that Joc is a patient hitter. we could use a few of those and we need to lose a couple of the " superstars " that can't help but swing at bullshit in 3-1 count. HORRIBLE 2 strike hitters we have as well.

i'd like to believe that AGon is a keeper, but he also would have some value i believe and we could replace him with SVS. not sure if i like that idea, but it's intriguing.

    agreed
and if you have to give up a draft pick to get one of them, do it

    Bullpen obviously needs improvements

I really really want Hanley back, but if for whatever reason they decide to not bring him back, they need Martin, to somewhat replace the loss of offense and sign a big pitcher.

Another interesting point is they should offer Hanley the QO if they aren't getting anywhere with him and he MIGHT take it, if he feels he had an injured down year. Yeah, very very very unlikely, but I'd be stoked, which means it's a -100000000000% chance of happening, because fuck me.

I didn't want to be the one going on record saying it, but we're fucked without Hanley. Dude brings so much to the batting order, not to mention his 130+ wRC+ from SS. I understand if management doesn't want to give him a long term deal though. Sad thing is, someone will be dumb enough to do just that (Yankees).

Dodgers should offer the QO and if he takes it, so be it. 15 million is nothing to them and would lower his salary actually. I mean, if Dan Haren can make 10 million, no reason Hanley isn't worth at least 15. Nothing better than 1 more to evaluate him on possibly giving him a long term deal.

Resign Hanley, upgrade at Catcher, upgrade the bullpen, add a good #4 starter, and kill off the baseball gods. Am I asking for too much?

    Chris,

How are people grading the upcoming draft for 2015? Weak or is there depth?

Or is it too early to tell?

FUUUUCK NOOOO to allowing Hanley to stay for yet another contract year..wtf? we all just watched him press and swing for the fences all year in an effort to get his 130M dollar deal and you guys wanna do that again? insanity. they'll be fine without Hanley. estimated time of arrival for Seager is 2016 anyway. sign JJ Hardy to a 2 or 3yr deal just in case Seager needs another year or it turns out he's better suited for 3B. Hardy's the 2nd best defensive SS in baseball and has a little pop as well..he'll do this Dodger team some good. combine that with a Martin signing and now you're far better up the middle defensively.

oh and definitely make the Puig for Stanton offer. whatever Miami offers Stanton this winter, Dodgers can beat that shit and all Stanton does is criticize Miami's front office anyway. Puig, Arruba, Crawford and cash for Stanton. Joc to CF for us. Martin-Hardy-Dee-Joc up the middle. Uribe and AGon still on the corners ( more time off for AGon next year, SVS behind him). Turner and Guerrero on the bench, Ethier in the pinch role. Stanton and Kemp in the corner OF spots. and Gardenhire to the bench with much less ego on the team to manage.
