watching ozark and so far so good nice character development and story watching a movie on surfing called momentum generation directed by redford. recommend.
ozark was really good and look forward to the next season been getting into the mountain of marvel shows started w daredevil seems like theres a lot of good to vg shows out there makes a guy wonder how the typical hollywood movie is so bereft of anything close to the originality these shows possess almost like someone had their foot on the throat of creativity nah never happen i think the days of big budget, big star movies is over the clooneys and pitts of the world are now dinosaurs too many better actors doing better work sort of like what happened to the big rock stars back in the day
We watched Bird Box (Netflix) the other night - good suspense and entertaining for 2 hours. Someone suggested "A Quite Place" to me, has anyone seen it?
I liked A Quiet Place. Bird Box is similar, but I thought inferior. I don't much like Sandra Bullock and the paint by numbers "diversity" cast felt like SJW propaganda.
A Quiet Place isnt bad.. just not my genre/cup of tea. I feel the novelty of no dialogue made it a critical darling more so than the characters or plot. Idk
bad blood was good kept wondering why the kim coates character was especially disturbing and finally realized he's a chuck schumer doppleganger poor guy how it ends was absolute trash basically a cadillac commercial i've seen blatant product placement but never a movie dedicated to every possible shot of the car geez
Daredevil and season one of Jessica Jones are the only Marvel shows I enjoyed throughout. Luke Cage lost a lot of steam. Punisher was good but I kept getting distracted while watching it. It's a golden age of TV. Better Call Saul, Netflix originals, True Detective. There's just so many options. IDK if animation is your thing, but I'd check out Bojack Horseman. Get past the first few episodes and it's comedy gold, but with some real shit thrown in there.
They made a Gary Webb movie. Kill the Messenger. I remember when this was the biggest thing in the world to me in the 90's. They made a movie a few years ago and I didn't even know. It's on Netflix now. I watched it last night. And it was good.
was watching worlds toughest prisons and the first few were good w the English guy wrongly accused of murder the guy from Ireland wasn't as good in the last half, not sure why they changed primary characters midway through? i think some of you remember my tale of the night in CR prison that place is the first episode, LaRefoma and it brought back some not so awesome memories never was in gen pop but they walk through the same doors etc. didn't get the full strip search either but i had that in SD at the marine red line brig absolutely meant to break down your humanity and let you know you aren't in charge of shit anymore
Totally agree about Vince Vaughn Rachael McAdams... I could watch her paint walls, trim hedges, pout... Too hot for her own good.. but I'd still watch her
We started Escape at Dannemora last night, and it hooked us. We will probably finish this weekend. 8 Episodes.
Arquette is great in it. Competent in every way. Well acted and interesting direction by Stller. a good watch.
