    I don't think Germany would do that.

    a) It would be match fixing and

    b) Europeans have a skewed view on Americans anyway, and I doubt they would be okay with not giving it their all against America in a sport that not many Americans take seriously and Germans live and breathe for.

    Germany is in anyway. They have the highest goal differential of the group. US would have to win by a large margin and Ghana would have to do the same to overtake Germany to advance.

    It's the US that has to play for the win or tie to advance.

    We wouldn't do that. Klinsman has made it clear that the United States of America always plays for the win at all times under any circumstance.

    Hopefully Portugal can draw or beat Ghana

    That too. The Cup is a game of pride. But my point was no way Germany even thinks of fixing to tie against the US. Hell, I think tying America would piss them off.

    Not to mention the winner of our group gets to play either Korea, Japan, or Russia while the second advancing country has to play Belgium. Germany isn't scared of Belgium by any means but the the former is a much easier game.
