Eibner is a scrub. Kike is an overrated finook. Forsythe is a strikeout machine and should go see an eye doctor. Putrid. Gutierrez, SVS, Thompson..all the same. Inconsistent platooners who aren't talented enough to even do that well. Get a real hitter for LF on July 31st please. Thank you.
That is why I was big on bringing Villar on. I felt he was perfect for the role that he would play this season and then as he became a super sub that still started half the time and would be an all star without a set position. Essentially what Chris Taylor is turning out to be, we hope. Logan has been bad, but Villar has been just as bad if not worse. Now Logan is going to be taking that backup role sooner than I anticipated. And I dont think he will be as good at the role as I figured Villar to be. That is why we should have high hopes for the little fatty 2B in the minors. Since we have a lot of fat guys up the middle why not one more. Chris Taylor can become that super backup who becomes a near all star caliber player. Backup SS, platoon partner at 2B vs lefties with Calhoun, also take over as defensive replacement for Calhoun ever game, otherwise be a designated and pinch hitter/defensive replacement pretty much anywhere. Logan becomes the backup 3B/LF and pinch hitter.
It would have been nice for our A team to get some ABs and looks against a pitcher we might face in the postseason... but nah.
Turner 3B Seager SS Taylor 2B Bellinger 1B Grandal C Verdugo RF JD Martinez LF Pederson CF Puig and Gonzalez can go play on El Chapo's beer league team.
Fairly obvious that Morrow, like Hatcher, does not appear to be a 2 inning guy. Stuff looks electric in the first, then gets flat and the control seems to wobble. Let's see if Roberts EVER figures that out here. Edit: I want to add that I have that train of thought, because I feel a lot of Morrow's bad outings in OKC came with a 1.1 or such in his Inn category.
how the last sequence looked to me... Corey gets disgusted with being behind, slaps an 8th inning double bringing tying run to the plate Taylor gets ahead of himself thinking (correctly) that he needs to win it all by his lonesome.. strikes out Ole fat Franklin thinks sheeiit I can do that and whiffs of 3 straight down the pike. 2 out. Kike of the incompetent Hernandez's clan thinks as long as I hit it I'm golden.. taps into yet another ground out. Corey joins me in shaking head in disgust Morrow so shook up about worthless Dodgers hitters that he throws 4 straight to walk the first Nats batter... Barnes sucks (again) and we have runners at 1st and 2nd.. no outs to be seen ... here we go again
As long as old white guys are running this organization, you'll never do shit in the post. See you tomorrow for the first pitch.
