so on the drive down to SD we're listening to all sorts of music as we're rerouted through canyons off the 5 and my girl asks who this is singing why that's Janis and Big brother and i told her a little blurb of her life not online looking up things Janis ever or honestly even thinking of her much but when i go into Lucky looking for a light shirt thing i see a Janis shirt and buy it for her paid cash for the transaction disclosing zero information and then this morning i have a Janis email from some shirt company for her t shirts! how the fuck do they do that?
Testing why I cannot post in a certain other thread. Says I am forbidden to access the server or some shit
That's almost always database corruption. Been a while since it was cleaned/repaired. I'll take a look at it tonight and see if that fixes it.
Yeah. Mr. Grant. Lou Grant. They're pretty much all gone now from the MTM show...it was a damn good one, too. From the Golden Age of TV for me.
Was there anybody funnier than Ted Knight? Held his own playing against Rodney...difficult to do. I remember Rhoda, Phyllis, and Lou Grant as direct spinoffs...there might have been more...each character so well defined and portrayed by the various actors.
All I know is we didn't go anywhere on Sunday nights. The lineup, show after show, was iconic. I forget when it was on, but one of my can't miss shows was The Smothers Brothers. And Jonathan Winters and Richard Pryor, for as long as he lasted. That kind of TV is gone forever.
smothers brothers was great loved pat paulson grew up in the same neighborhood as jonathan winters as kids, we loved running into him... he'd break into one of his myriad characters
