I think this is the best thing I can say when people question whether or not CK will stay. If the Mariners can keep Felix Hernandez, the Dodgers can keep Clayton Kershaw.
Among qualifying pitchers (1,000+ innings). As Kersh said: "I have plenty of time to blow it"...but still pretty cool. Didn't know if it was posted or not.
With the potential of A-Rod coming off the books for a couple of years I would say the Yankees have a slight edge over the Rangers even with the whole Texan thing. What are the chances he actually wants to stay when he makes it to free agency? I say it's slipping with each start. Guy has the chance to be one of the best, I honestly don't think he wants to be sitting on the couch every October. In all honesty, he doesn't deserve to be either.
How long is he under team control? I just don't think the owners are going to let him get away. I feel this season is an anomaly. Injuries everywhere, Kemp and Dre playing bad. I just don't think it can stay this bad to force CK to make the decision to leave the Dodgers.

I'd trade Puig to the AL for the AL and Kershaw to the NL for the NL. We'd win every WS for the nest 10 years .
Something I worry about with Kershaw is how dependent his is on his slider now. All through the minors he didn't throw one and the last couple of years he's thrown it ~10-15% of the time. We saw early this season Greinke have elbow issues and he cut his slider usage down tremendously, and instead has gone to a cutter which is roughly the same speed but with just less break and of course less strain on the elbow. Maybe Kershaw could do the same?
The slider is the reason for ALOT of the injuries and the growth in injuries over the past 20 years.it's a lot easier to grip and learn to throw than a curve but it also takes a lot more toll on the arm(shoulder and elbow). As for greinke, the slider was never a plus-plus pitch.he's always been fastball-curve-change kinda guy and all 3 rate really well.he has developed a nice cutter though and it(along with his change) really helps against lefties specifically
I'm not saying I hope it happens, just that you don't let a Kershaw walk due to fear of injury when you have the money the Dodgers do.
