Angels Deceptive Billboards

The Angels have found a clever way to deceive people into thinking the Angels have made 11 WS appearances and have won 4 championships, among other things.

The billboard has their big A logo in the center of the board. All over the rest of it, you will see accolades. Accolades with no disclaimer. All you see is that it's the Angels, and there have been "11 WS" "4 championships" etc.

Apparently, they have combined all the accomplishments of their players, and what they have done for other teams and are assuming people will perceive it as the Angel's accomplishments.

THIS IS WHY I HATE THE ANGELS. Not the players. But the ORGANIZATION. The way they market themselves, their owner, etc.

 

OMG! LMAO! How fucking pathetic. Seriously, how low can you go? While they were at it, they might as well add a few Dodger titles and the many penants. It's an L.A. baseball team right? It's just as relevent as using Sciosia's Dodger's shit.

I've seen that billboard...I read slow and drive fast so I didn't get down to the obvious bullshit on the bottom.

 

I drove by it a few times and luckily was in slow enough traffic to keep looking and trying desperately to figure out how they could get away with it. Turns out it wasn't necessarily lying, it was just PATHETIC deception.

 

There is one about 6 miles down the freeway from me on I-10 west in Ontario. The rest of it is ok, so I didn't really take notice.

 

There are 4 consecutive billboards on the 5 South in Commerce/Bell Gardens

 

It's kinda shitty out here in the Inland Empire because there seems to be at least as many if not more Anal fans than us.

 

The Lakers did this too with their starting 5 this year, but it was more about individual accolades than team accolades, i.e. all-star game appearances, MVP awards, etc...

When you are second fiddle, you always compare yourself to the best and steer stats and information towards your way.

 

The IE is closer to OC obviously so it makes sense, but the fact that the Dodgers have such a big following 2 counties away is a good thing.

 

The Angels post division championships on their wall.

It sucks because the Dodgers are so bad, i want to jump on the Angel's bandwagon because their is always room for more there but they suck even worse!
