Hey, just a thank you to all you vets here and everywhere else who were willing to lay it all on the line at one time. Real vets. Not like the kind Ned signs. BTW, this is the first Veteran's Day that not one vet from WWI is alive. They are all gone. To realize that, with anniversaries of wars that will come as the years pass, is something very sobering and just plain sad to contemplate, IMO. Anyway, thanks to all men and women for your service.
Agreed, Vets and people currently serving are the heart and soul of this country. Much love, respect, and thanks for everything you allow us to do and have because of your sacrifices.
exactly cracks me up (actually, sickens me) when some anti-war cunt starts spouting off and not for one nanosecond realizing that the sole reason they're allowed to speak their mind is because of what our vets have fought for don't like the war, fine go move to some fucken gay hell hole like france fucken anti-american pussy bitches! :soapbox:
Much thanks too all the Vets out there... I'm a proud son of a military veteran and will always show respect to the ones before him and after him.... God Bless you men & women and much love is coming your way.....
Not in my family, it's probably cause my cousin is serving but everything military grows stronger and stronger with each year that passes.
without a doubt should be guaranteed jobs and free medical coverage for life heard a podcast from am570 the great fighter ray boom-boom mancini talking about one of his relatives being unable to get med coverage I'll try and find the link.... edit; here it is: http://www.am570radio.com/player/?s...cast&program_id=loosecannons.xml&mid=22614177 just shameful these guys and girls put their lives on the line for our freedom and when they come back we treat them like crap
This makes me sad...I think it was last year there was one WWI vet was left and I saw him intervewed. It saddens me to know he's gone now, he sure seemed sharp for a guy his age. God bless them all. Days like this remind me of my grandfather and how much I miss him. I miss his stories about being over Berlin in a B-17 bomber and the first time he encountered the Me-262 jets. Him complaining about his gun position being completely useless. He was the radio operator and the gun in his position was a little .30caliber machine gun aiming almost straight up through a window on the ceiling...lol, he said you couldn't see a damn thing and if you did they were already passed you. He'd just fire the weapon randomly out of fear and anger hoping to get lucky...lol.
Amazing tale...I've spoken to many many WWII vets, from all branches in the service...and almost every one said that the crews that went up in the bombers, especially before the advent of escort fighters, were the bravest men to put on a uniform... hands down. The stats during the early days of missions and sorties flown in the war, especially Europe, were mind boggling losses. Hard to believe. Apropos the WWI stat, my English grandfather was mustard gassed in the first big battle of WWI, before we ever got into it, in 1914. He made it back home, and lasted until he was 50 with the lining of his lungs gone. Passed into history, like all the rest.
