Not calling you out Devil. More about Dodger fans as a whole. You see a lot of Dodger fans exposed on Twitter these days.

He sucks...K'd when we needed him the most tonight.
Trade him, Joc, Forsythe and Maeda for NJ stud, Mike Trout.

Yeah, get what your saying, and you 're absolutely right about it... but in the end, the number, the only number that really counts, is winning 4 out of 7 in the world series.
If this is finally the damn year, it's about time it's arrived.
They haven't done it yet, and whatever run we're on or elite winning percentage we have is chump change for losers to throw around if we don't do it again. Instead of victory pride.
Fans have a right to blame whoever they want when their team fails, and the Dodgers are up with the cream of the crop when it comes to fail after fail after fail. And if they do fail again, IF, it will mean that the FO didn't get the players they needed to win. Players that failed again. With all that money and smarts, someone will have been better. Or more ready. Or more peaking. Or streaking...
    AGAIN. Right?
What does it matter who disappointed fans blame, ultimately?
Just fucking win it for once, for crissakes.
    That'll shut everybody up.

All the while... the Fucktard hate has diminished... while you sit back and pretend err... push shit off on your favorite basement dwelling, meatloaf eating whooping boy...you sir, are still the main FO hater in the group...own it bkitch!

Of course nothing is won yet, and humble pie has not yet been served, at this point, the FO has done virtually all that they can do to set this team up for success, can you at least give props where props are due?

I do own it, but I'm not the main hater. I'm tied at 10/10ths with the others who want a WS win more than a cum soaked Oklahoma City lineup card.....bKitch! ;) :D

I will agree that they are stepping on the gas more than they have up 'til now but like you said, it ain't over yet.

At the end of the day, I want a WS win more than anything so if this team gets one, then yeah, I'll be at the head of every celebration line I can find. Like BZ so aptly put it, we aren't meant to be lovable losers in the City of the Angels and we should NEVER be complacent with the dreams of tomorrow, rather the champagne of today and I'm happy someone over there finally put down their 14 dollar beer and realized that!

It's all good. We're all fans, just different kinds. This message board would be boring if we all agreed. Some of the best posters here have been wrong, like that guy who was confident as fuck and then we lost. Or those who wanted Shane Victorino. Or even that guy who accused one of our better posters of not knowing how many seams are on a baseball. Hell, maybe those who hate Logan Forsythe will be proven wrong (LOL).

But yeah, revenge of the nerds.

I'll take that and agree that the passion is shared across all of us.. we all want the same thing..but we need to give our faith in the regime and allow them to do their thing before passing judgement ... something that I feel has been lost on many here. One team united! Let's roll and hope our boys in blue bring us a ship to celebrate together!

    Go Dodgers!!!

the nerds have had a plan from the start
not all of us realized/recognized it from the beginning
    but they never wavered
    never panicked
    never caved in to temptation
    i'll admit, i wasn't sure at first
but as the carl crawfords and brandon leagues began coming off the books and were ultimately replaced by the seagers and bellingers... we all began to see the light
their depth seemed inane initially but it's paying huge dividends now
slowly, methodically they have put together the best team in baseball
if we somehow come up short, it won't be on them

Tigers place Verlander on revocable waivers
by Bill Baer | NBC Sports — 8 hours ago

ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick reports that the Tigers have placed starter Justin Verlander on revocable waivers. It’s the beginning of August, so we’ll continue to hear about veterans with sizable contracts being placed on waivers. This news comes as no surprise.

Verlander, 34 has struggled to a 4.29 ERA with a 126/60 K/BB ratio in 130 innings across 22 starts this season. He’s owed the remainder of his $28 million salary for this season and will make $28 million in each of the next two seasons. He has a vesting option worth $22 million in 2020. That option vests if he finishes in the top-five of 2019 Cy Young Award balloting.

Verlander is very likely to pass through waivers because of his contract. If and when he does, the Tigers can pursue a trade normally in which they could agree to cover a portion (or all) of his remaining contract. An acquiring team would need to complete a deal for Verlander before September 1 in order for him to be eligible for the post-season roster. Verlander has a full no-trade clause, so he ultimately has the final say in whether or not he changes addresses.

I really want us to go below the luxury tax threshhold next, so these other fucking leaching cunt clubs can stop making a buck off us.

I've been a nerd supporter all along but NEVER thought they would be this successful. The writing was on the wall when they didn't pursue marquee pitchers the last 2 years by trading away viable assets which is paying dividends big time. I don't pretend to know how they were going to get it done however but I'm sure glad they didn't listen to the critics. This year I did think they should have made the move for a righthander at the expense of a prospect but only because they had depth in the pitching department and Willie didn't have a position in this league like a DH.

Remains to be seen if this roster, a killer in the regular season, is built for the post season.

I still have my doubts. Still hope another pen arm can be added.

Good posts here, all around, imo
If we do it, turn the FO and the players rise immeasurably in our hearts and minds, and we then all become cheerleaders ( of sorts).
I'm an old guy, no longer on the street, interacting with local fans of other teams. In NJ, you don't meet up with a lot of LAD fans, obviously, and old timers like me who were Dodger fans have that "to hell with them since they moved out there" bullshit going on. I never gave a shit. Just Dodgers, wherever they were.
I want to win because we all deserve it as fans...we've had a lot to be proud of over the years...even as the WS has not been a part of our tradition for almost three decades.
Great players and individual historical achievements and fine baseball teams strewn out over the passage of time, and a gaping chasm of a championship missing within the modern Dodger resume.
Judging by what I have come to realize being on this site, there are guys here that have never seen or been "part of" a Dodger championship. I have witnessed every one, and it's time again for all of us.
This site has posters from all over the America and one from the south Pacific, from another country. Some of us were born in other places, but whatever separates us in thought, finances or culture, we are all brought together by this baseball team.
Most of us know how love is...not so smooth all the time. Many glitches along the way, with flare ups of doubt, the disdain of jealousy from time to time, the frustrations of repetitive failures, etc.
So it is with avid baseball fans, I think.
It's been written that baseball is most like life of all games. I totally agree and believe that. We all want to have happy lives, and the baseball part of it, which affects our happiness, or disappointment to a degree, is controlled by the FO...who they get to win this thing, etc. From players, to coaches - everything.
With such a record of failure for so long, it's difficult to stroke these guys so damn much for some people...they control a part of our lives, these dudes.
Make me happy. Make us happy, goddam it.
It's not like we haven't paid our dues...
