DODGERS 2017 NEWS/RUMORS/AROUND MLB Thread

In my lifetime, I've seen so many teams play in the WS but never the Dodgers. I've seen the "cursed" Red Sox and Cubs rise to the top after hearing about their October failures for years, I've seen laughable franchises like the Rays, Mets, Rockies, Tigers, and Rangers go from complete dumpster fires to playing in the World Series. We all just saw the Giants and Royals recently win with questionable rosters. Every team in the NL West has been in the WS more recently than us and we've mostly dominated the division.

Franchises that were a laughing stock for years and many pegs below us have tasted glory before us. Just thinking about the postseason gives me immense stress because the thought of losing again leaves a pit in my stomach. Sometimes I wonder if we are cursed because I've seen so many flawed teams catch break after break in the playoffs but if we have even 1 minor flaw, it always finds a way to get greatly exposed. As a kid, I was overjoyed anytime we won the division but now that isn't nearly enough and I almost feel spoiled. With greatness comes huge expectations and just getting there is no longer good enough for me. Not after witnessing so many lesser teams taste postseason glory before us. If we ever breakthrough, it'd probably turn me into the most positive fan alive because I'd feel like all of my stress/anxiety that comes from watching this sport would be alleviated.
