    Thompson sucks.
    Toles is out anyways.
Ethier is done (as much as I want him to sneak on the playoff roster and hit a walk off HR in the World Series to end his 12 year Dodger legacy)
Utley will be on the roster.

That all said, I don't see Calhoun getting the call.

I don't know about about Taylor. Declaring him Justin Turner lite may have been premature. Gotta wait and see.

I didn't even notice that. Freaking Rube. At least he didn't put Villar in there.

Trea Turner was HBP today vs the Cubs and was diagnosed with a broken wrist. Damn shame too. Since it was him who stole those many bases against today's opponent the Cubs I wonder if anyone thinks it was retaliation.

    lol, saw this yesterday ...

    Scott Lauber
    ESPN Staff Writer
Upon being told he's 5-for-35 (.143) with eight strikeouts vs. lefties, Hanley Ramirez said, "You're
kidding me. I didn't know that for real. So, OK, after this conversation, let's see what's going to happen
now. I'll say it: Bring it, OK? I didn't know, I swear. Interesting."

    i really hope it wasn't
if it was, shame on maddon/strop for throwing above the belt
retaliation is fine, but there are unspoken rules (honor amongst thieves) as well

I really don't think it was intentional, no way maddon would call for retaliation against those stolen bases, he knows that tacking on runs against his offense is important. Looked like a two-seamer that ran in way too much

I just think Puig has more upside than Joc, and I am tired of seeing Joc run into everyone in the OF. He doesn't seem to be a team player. Also if MGT is going after FA in the future, Harper will need a spot and to lure Otani, if MGT has a position in the OF for him on off pitching days, that is a plus. To correct you.....I was not one of those guys that wanted to trade Bellinger for Sale. He was one of my untouchables becasue we had no true replacement in the minors for AGon. However, I did want to send Urias and Verdugo packin for Sale.

You did want Bellinger traded for Sale, brodie..facts. I'm thankful for Puig having a hot June, but the bottom line is that he's an 8-hole hitter for this team, management has essentially designated him as that. I see his hot streak in June as nothing more than great timing with him perhaps raising his trade value ahead of the deadline and those whispers have already begun. Joc, on the other hand, has spent most of his time this year batting 6th, 7th, and 1st in the batting order, so one can gather than they feel Joc is the guy with more upside. Call these observations the not so subtle differences in how management views Puig and Joc.

Last I saw Joc was hovering around the .800 OPS mark after having about a .850 OPS last year, which is excellent for a CF. If Verdugo comes up, do you take out the guy who's been batting 6th/7th/1st in your lineup..or do take out the guy that's been hitting 8th all year? Easy decision..you more than likely wanna slot Verdugo in for the guy you've designated as your 8-hole hitter and then reshuffle the lineup. Just so happens that Verdugo has a cannon arm as well, has worked more games in RF in 2017 than he has CF, so right now he'd be a smooth replacement for Puig in RF. LAD can slot Verdugo in the 8 spot initially and then eventually move him up to lead-off, where he belongs.

White Sox used to have interest in Puig..I'm hoping LAD can include Puig in a trade for Quintana. White Sox could maybe have their pick of Buehler or White, whomever they feel is closer to show action probably, and then maybe get another lower tier guy or two in addition to Puig. They're a big market team that could take a chance on Puig and perhaps re-sign him, and that'd give them 3 noteworthy Cubans, as they already have Abreu and now Moncada who they received in the Sale trade.

Even if this one was "accidental", Maddon's Cubs are up to way too much of that horse shit. Retaliate on principle.
