sad testimony that young guys i respect on this board are defending cheaters.
you want to cheat? fine. get caught and pay the price. then everything you worked for is minimized.
you think braun looks at his mvp trophy and feels good? he knows he's not deserving.
yet after he was caught he continued to lie. fuck him. baseball is better without him.
and how naive must you be to think this was only about a list? they were flat out busted.
a lying cheater like braun would have never taken this punishment if he thought for one moment it couldn't be proven.

    Amen!!!

There are reports about him failing another test recently and MLB having prove about a continued use of steroids.

And they say that MLB has more data on ARod than on Braun

Apart from Diablo's post above, this is probably the best post in this thread. The guy broke the rules, and also deliberately and knowingly cost this guy his living. Takes a special piece of shit to pull that off. I feel bad for the Brewers. Should have invested in the fat slug playing first for Detroit instead.

Great day for baseball anyway. To so publicly put a big red cross of certainty over a dirty, filthy piece of shits career is huge. Would hate to be A-Fraud right now, the smackdown cometh for him.

$3.4Million. That's a lot of money...but there's plenty more where that came from.

Brawn will be like Ethier from now on. Singles and doubles.

It makes me embarrassed when I watch the flashback of Braun denying everything in his press conference. Putting his "life and integrity" that he didn't do anything etc.

Well benefiting Brawn is not the same as the Brewers. The Brewers were duped too, I don't mind them being helped out a bit. Rich teams can ahndle this shit a lot better than the Brewers who are a middle to low market team that actually spends it's money to win ballgames unlike so many others out there that just steal the money.

If they were on the race would Braun have accepted the suspension? Not to mention the 100 games vs 50 thing. Selig had his dirty fucking hands in this.

This asshole has a way with words huh? "I would bet my life that this substance never entered my body." -Ryan Braun http://youtu.be/y4yKCVrfzaU "I realize now that I have made some mistakes."-Ryan Braun
I realize now? The guy lies more often than he speaks the truth.
Besides his reputation being tarnished, he really isn't being punished at all. Brewers are awful and in last place. He had a messed up thumb, and now he gets to prepare for next season and will still have a huge contract. Like Armstrong, this asshole tried to attack anyone that reported he cheated.

Diablo, to be clear, (I don't know if you read every one of my posts) but I'm not angry at the fact that someone who breaks a rule gets suspended for cheating. And I never said that if Braun broke a rule, he shouldn't be punished. Braun is a huge asshole in all of this. Lying, scheming and throwing others under the bus is terrible, and if he cheated he cheated, need to follow the rules.

What got me mad and what I attacked in all this is the rules/process in itself. I have problems with what MLB determines is legal/illegal and weird processes/priorities of going through with all this. I just hate how big a deal and priority this is in baseball in getting huge busts without looking at how they can make the entire process better. I don't believe in a "fuck it" attitude where MLB allows everything, but theres many things that MLB allows that help just as much as a lot of thing allowed. If you get doctors to regulate/prescribe more stuff, and you can in turn put harsher punishments for all the super scary/shady stuff, I think it solves a lot of this.

If people cheat, they cheat and should be punished. Overuse of certain steroids, corked bats, spitballs, wtv, cheating is cheating and shouldn't be tolerated. but what is determined to be cheating is what gets me here, that's all, and the entire process of what they determine is a proper punishment for this stuff is weird

But I mean what is done is done and I can only hope this is the last scandal like this behind us... Hope I cleared some of my thoughts for you

We'll find out about this if other names of people who are actually in the race come out and get suspended.

yeah in the big picture, he doesn't really lose much. Of course, 3+ mil is obviously a lot of cash but he still has a lot more coming to him.

113 mil left remaining on his contract.

this whole thing is more about what it means for MLB than what happens to Braun.
