Ryan Howard with a 2 RBI check swing hit to put Philly up 4-3

in terms of how fast he's coming along physically, he's crushed the ball at every level so far

Offense is looking better against a admittedly mediocre pitcher, but I'll still take it

    Good job by Ryu too

This is no shit. I was just thinking watching Ryu today that his slider was pretty damn close to how Kershaw has thrown it this year. Was just reading Dodgers.com and it turns out he has given his offspeed stuff a tweak during the ASB and is attempting to mimic Kershaw's slider and Beckett's curve. Had both pitches working pretty well today.

Interesting...I wonder exactly what the tweak was. Harder, different release point, whatever...
Complimentary when a pitcher with his experience and career goes out and tries to emulate another's successes. And intelligent...another guy might not admit that.

Beckett activated, Paco goes back down, despite pitching very well since coming back up.

I wish we didn't have so many closer making money so we could have kept him up.

Paco going down instead of Chris Perez getting DFA'd is a tragedy
