I really think Urias on 2 days rest might not be as easy as we assume. Although pitchers do it, it’s mostly been short outings and you’re talking about horses like Bumgarner, Strasbourg, and Kershaw that have done it. Urias very well could but I wouldn’t assume it’s definitely an option.

I think the plan was always Tony just starting a regular game for the first time these playoffs. Trust what got you here, a dude who could’ve been our clear #3. If he starts sucking early, you pull him early, just like game 2, and see if bullpen can keep you in this. I do think they gotta have a short leash on him though, although I don’t even know how to best lineup the bullpen

    smells a little like panic

score early and put the pressure on
    let’s win this fucken thing!

The Dodgers aren't losing 2 in a row to the Rays. Enjoy the game and stop stressing out.

I don't know if it's panic as much as this is just what the Rays do. It reminds me of when we were platoon heavy in the 2018 NLCS and it almost broke us. The heavy platoon works great during the season when bullpens are less involved, but in the playoffs with a starter who will only go past 3 innings if he's shutting you down? It's just a reminder that they don't have the established lineup we have, and we have no excuse to not win this thing.

lol, cause of the baby I have been under orders to not yell as much. So in the events that I have, my dogs now sulk out of the room since the only time I have had raise my voice the last few months is if the fuck up. You'd think I regularly beat them with the way I act(and I most certainly don't).

I honestly feel our lineup has been a bit more consistent this postseason due to us not platooning all the fucking time. The only guys that have really been platooned are AJ and Joc, which yeah they need to be. On the flip side, the Rays have a team of basically platooners and it is what they are used to doing, so I don't think it impacts them the way it did for us. Our bullpen has just not carried the weight in our two losses which is most frustrating

The only good thing to say about game 2 is that the Dodgers got to see Snell over 20 ABs while only 6 Rays saw Gonsolin. Hopefully that helps our hitters tonight. Too bad for the whole Taylor/Smith comedy show in game 4, otherwise Snell would've pitched more in the 10th. The bottom line is that we need to hit tonight, early and often.

I don't remember the last time our lineup has been this predictable either. I don't know if a consistent lineup really means anything, but as a fan it makes me feel good.

I think during regular season you should mess around with lineup to see how different guys fit in different spots, but in playoffs I do like having as set a lineup as we have. Idk if it necessarily positively affects anything but it’s just nice for some reason, 1-6, to have basically set

Who the hell is David Sampson, other than the guy Jeter bumped out of the front office in Miami? Not liking him much at the moment.

    1. He's sticking with his prediction of Rays in 7.
    2. He says best case scenario for Gonsolin is 2 innings pitched tonight.
    3. He's convinced that tonight Roberts will go to Jansen in the 9th if a save situation.

    What. The. Fuck?

True, and the first 2 don't bother me. The third one, though... I was hoping that possibility was put to rest... six feet under.

It's been 32 years since the Dodgers last won the WS. For those who were adults the last time the Dodgers won, your lives are no doubt drastically different than they were 32 years ago. For me, I was a spoiled little child 32 years ago, and it feels like a lifetime ago. And for others, it literally was a lifetime ago as you weren't even alive 32 years ago. Think about all the players who have come and gone for the Dodgers over the past 32 years. I'm tired of talking about 1988. I'm tired of talking about 2017, TBH. This is the year. This is the team. If we don't get them tonight, there is no way we will lose Game 7 with Buehler against shitface Morton... but I have a good feeling about tonight. Go Motherfuckin' Dodgers.

I love the sentiment... minus the "no way we would lose game 7." 31 previous years say otherwise.

My fandom started in '60, so I can't take credit for '59. But I fondly (no homo) remember, '63 (swept the evil Yankees), '65 (Sandy on two days rest in Game 7 vs the Twins), '81 (tri-MVPs in Yeager, Guerrero and Cey) and of course '88 vs. the A's (Gibby and Hershiser).

There are some advantages to advanced age.

Get this fucking thing done tonight, boys.
