I dont know about all of that Blue, but its obvious you took offense at people disagreeing with your opinion and started to call us assholes that are trying to invalidate your opinion. Which nobody is. Just that your opinion is a side opinion that isnt what this thread is about. This is about what the FO has done this year not about your constant lack of optimism about the Dodgers organization going back 30 years. You bring it up in others threads and all of that is fine. Except here you are getting chippy when we are all happy at the Dodgers success and taking it personally that we look sideways at people who want to rain on the parade.

A lot of us are happy the team is doing great. And some of us saw what the FO did in the offseason and felt the team was built very strongly.
Others went negative right away at every move they made. Spelled disaster when Greinke was not signed. Said the season was over because guys like Turner, Howie, Puig and AGon werent hitting. Had no faith in Maeda or the other starters brought in to help stem the tide because they werent Greinke level. They poopooed the Hill/Reddick trade because it didnt give a quick return on investment. And these same fans said that the manager should have never been hired, that he was over his head and sucked/should be fired.
Those same people all gave the team F marks every time.
I gave them a good mark. I thought the team has done very well in most of their deals.
And on the field the team has done well. Dave has been fantastic with a few hiccups here and there like even the best managers have.
The staff again has been very good all things considered without Kershaw. Maeda has outpitched Greinke all year and Rich Hill for the playoffs looks to be as good as Greinke was for us last year.
You choose to not be optimistic.
Thats fine. You saw a sad documentary about the early days of the Dodgers and it bummed you out.
The Dodgers havent won a WS in a long time and it bummed you out.
You have every single reason in the book to be optimistic this year though.
But its clear as day that when others are optimistic towards your non optimism it chaps your hide and you get chippy.

BTW codge having another posters comments in your sig is kinda douchy, specially for so long.
I could understand if you wanted to make a point for a bit, but its been a while now.

The lecture continues ad infinitum...I just hope all the wisdom you have (that is so obvious to you, to comment on) is spread around to all the others that "need" it. Other than the most needy, like myself, of course.
Your statement about my non optimism, in light what I wrote about my feeling on the team's present position and success, is just totally wrong and ill thought out. I do realize now how much you are like everyone else, and prone to mistakes and misconceptions, like everyone else, even while on the lecture circuit so often.
However, the sig suggestion by Capn and your statement on it, is absolutely spot on.
It should be disallowed when used for ridicule.
About time it was addressed. Way overdue.

Of course i am like everyone else.
It would be cowardly not to 'lecture' because of my own frailty.
What... Only perfect people can open their mouth?
I win some i lose some.
You liked my lecture on sigs.
But they cant all be gems.
Yes i have a higher standard for you Blue. For Cap too.
Yall elder statesmen. I expect more from you because. I put a higher level of respect on your name.
How else can i raise others like Codge for example to higher a level if i dont have guys up there?
Its tough being a chosen people. ;)

I thought that was Big Daddy Kane's sig. Always had to be careful who was in the room when that came.....but didn't mind the sig at all.

Really? I'm still incredulous that he sees that as the purpose of this forum.

But very well, let's all cow tow to the political correctness bandwagon. Long live the Buster Pussy rule! Let's make changes based on the inabilities of others. Never shall anyone be castigated on this site again for anything they might say or think. I'm down with it.

    Sir, you misunderstand me.

It was not a way to start shit. Believe me, I have plenty of ways to start shit.

It was a way to point out the sublimely ridiculous.

Its not PC dont be silly.
Its generally considered baiting to quote someone else in your sig on message boards.
Specially if it is to shame, antagonize or ridicule somebody.
And you have many other ways to do that.
    Use your wit.
Create new responses to whatever ridiculousness you think you see.
Taking a snippet of someones post and putting in your doesnt really have any impact at all.
Because most of us dont remember the context.
The only one who will constantly remember it is the person who originally wrote it.
And so it becomes a chronic reminder of a previous point of contention.
Which will never die because with your sig you show that you dont let go of stuff.
Putting it back in the persons face makes them feel antagonized towards you everytime they see it.
If that is not your point then so be it. But that is the effect.
And that is always the effect with quoting somebody in your sig. Its been done since the beginning of message boards.
Just quote a great poet like i do. :D
