Can't wait for Kenley to be back and even league. Bp depth will be much better

    After 6 you have
    Peralta/Baez
    Garcia
    Jansen

Mix in league for situational ground balls and hope he doesn't walk anyone lol. Paco and hatcher can be very serviceable also.

But if we're winning after 6 I like our chances

Dodgers Claim Ryan Dennick, Designate David Huff
By Jeff Todd [April 15, 2015 at 4:17pm CDT]

The Dodgers have claimed lefty Ryan Dennick off waivers from the Reds, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com tweets. Los Angeles has designated David Huff to clear roster space for the move.

Dennick, 28, has only minimal experience at the big league level. He struggled through the 4 2/3 innings he saw last season, allowing six earned runs, including two long balls, and walking four batters while only retiring three by way of strikeout. But Dennick was solid last year at Triple-A. Over 50 frames, he put up a 2.34 ERA while striking out 7.2 and walking 3.2 batters per nine.

Huff, meanwhile, is a 30-year-old southpaw who received a spot start for Los Angeles last night. He lasted four innings, allowing four earned on seven hits and a walk while striking out a pair of Mariners hitters. Huff was actually quite effective last year after signing with the Yankees in the middle of the season, tossing 39 innings of 1.85 ERA ball for New York out of the pen.

on mlb trade rumors as well...
    • Word is that young Cuban righty Yadier Alvarez will wait until after July 2 to sign, even if he gets a waiver to do so sooner, in large part because of chatter suggesting that the Dodgers will be major players in the market at that time. Los Angeles is widely tabbed as the likeliest team to land Alvarez, with some believing that a $16MM deal is already in place.

missing a long man there, but yeah Howell and League are probably DFA'd in that case.

Yimi above everybody other than Jansen. Yimi is outstanding. set up man material stuff and poise.

Urias, De Leon, Holmes, and Yadier Alvarez..it'll be gettin very Cardinalsy on the LAD farm in regards to the young starting pitching if Alvarez happens.

Dodgers may already have deal in place with Yadier Alvarez
by Matthew Moreno | Dodgers Nation — 3 hours ago

While the Los Angeles Dodgers have slowly but steadily built depth throughout the organization through the draft, the immediate impact of recent international signings can’t be understated. Hyun-jin Ryu and Yasiel Puig have been key to the Dodgers’ success in recent years and Alex Guerrero is on his way to being next in line.

At just 18 years old, Julio Urias is waiting in the wings and he may soon be joined by a fresh wave of young faces come July 2. After not signing Yoan Moncada, the Dodgers are expected to spend big and incur the restrictions that come with signing players who are under 23 years old and have less than five years of professional experience.

Among the prospects the Dodgers have consistently been tied to is right-hander Yadier Alvarez, who some believe has already received a deal from the club, according to Kiley McDaniel of FanGraphs.com:

"I've heard from multiple international scouts that believe the Dodgers already have a deal with Alvarez for $16 million (which would cost the Dodgers $32 million total, due to the dollar-for-dollar tax by MLB on 23 and under international prospects), but his reps deny a deal is done. Alvarez can't sign right now anyway and, while a deal may not be done, everyone I've talked to thinks Alvarez will end up with the Dodgers (though a number of other teams are interested), and the price is about where scouts thought it would end up, so this makes a lot of sense."

At 6’3’’ and 175 pounds, Alvarez has a fastball that reaches the mid-to-upper 90’s, as well as a plus-slider and changeup. On top of Alvarez’s talent, his youth and frame certainly give teams more than reason to see promise in the years to follow.

McDaniel also reports the Dodgers may have a deal in place with center fielder Starling Heredia, someone they were linked to back in March, and shortstop Ronny Brito, among others.
