Used car I would rather Toyota as they are very cheap to get into due to the prevalence and soccer mom styles. Toyota used to be Japan Volvo basically.
In spirit of being almost as good as a German to distinguish it from most flashy trashy euro machines Volvo competes with.
If Toyota apes to be a low budget good quality simple design version of Volvo they did that.
Honda is more bmw samurai speed.
They don't like to sell their swords that easily.
Fuss about precision and perfect clean lines, double for the Acura models.
So prices to buy used are higher because too many owners over value the material things they love and lose perspective.

Negative. Wife owns a Camry and I own an Accord. Granted mine is a more expensive model, better options, etc....but it isn't even close as far as ride and comfort. If you want to cheap out go Toyota. Prices to buy used are higher because they hold their value AND performance. A Toyota will run for years. A Honda will run GOOD for years.

Not saying Toyota isn't good...just Honda is better.

Someone should tell you that you only disagreed with one word.
    Everything else you agreed with.
I never liked toyotas much, all the gf had Camry or corolla depending on the caste I mean bracket.
I had a few Lexus girls too but those were quick flashy a gotta fun but memory fades on paint.
    Tercel I remember best.
    Those all good girls.
I drove cvcc, colt, fx hatch, rx7, z, integra, 4runner, yellow bullit, beemer, old delta 88, rx7 next, cholo approved riviera, s ten, infinity m, accord, wrangler, stingray, 1500, tundra.
As you can see the humble rise of a young civy then a cap gun followed by a great toy with surprisingly large amount of room and then lots of douche then a fall followed by a change period with a lot of stability and peace followed by lots of impulse buys and finally the big tundra to finish the job hard.
There's that one Indian jetta girl.
Well really from Sri Lanka but c'mon.
Then years later an actual Indian girl maya when I was enjoying being driven around in lexis and jags. Fun girls but too high maintenance to keep looking pretty.
    Camry girls were all women.
And the bug and van from the van wearing Beatle fan bilezy wagon type volks, obviously I lost my mind but without partaking.
Hey when everyone is on drugs the designated driver is the guy only drinking liquor but not forgetting to eat fruit and juice while I drank.
Or fish and chips if it was cold or rainy.
    Anyway, I digressly slipped.
We were talking but the game.
Well let's not get ahead of ourselves.
If we start talking about throne vehicles and the sherry fairies I might get sidetracked from the labors at hand.

Cbd your name resonates in my chest every time I read your character name.
So it's all good all the time.

Hey you found know how when bono says something ridiculous it sounds really catchy and we don't care it doesn't make any sense.
    Like 1 2 3 14.
    Yeah, funny stuff.
    Cars are fun.
That 4runner was the saving grace during a decent stretch.
It's good with the ladies, being a Toyota.
It took me past the moon the stars and through the sun to somewhere far away on the other side.
Although the tundra got me through lean times.

Then again lots of cars I forget due to much hard driving.
That green tercel was a keeper.
I shouldn't have gone for the Honda chickies in their civies and then the diplomatic accords and too smart acuras.
Then again the maroon jetta was and is very underrated.
But the brothers in dark jettas were all cryptons from middle earth.
And while I liked driving my bmw tuned Honda.
It got the wrong type of girls attention.
But now I got lots of wookies helping me out.

Chiming in late from Zhongshan on solid reliable cars...
and NOT those use solely for trim acquisition...though Rube's tales are amusing

And I agree that it's hard to go wrong with Toyota's and Honda's
not flashy but solid ... both of them... more so than Nissan
The Honda Accord I drove was solid until a tree fell on it while parked... go figure
I've currently got an 2004 Toyota Sienna, which Irish adores it seems, with 180k and nary a lick of problem... ever
And a 2009 Corolla with 80k and again solid performance, 30+ MPG, even driven hard and never an ounce of trouble

But I had miserable luck with a Hyundai and would never buy another
I don't care how cheap it was
"F" everything Korean, they cut the wrong corners

Unless you have coin to waste I'd stay away from the Euro brands
Horror stories abound of Bimmers with $3500 water pump replacements and more
I drove a Ford Fusion and found it solid but no promises about long term reliability

Fot trucks, I've had great luck with Ford trucks and Toyota trucks
but I don't think that I'd get a GM anything... except maybe a Vette
    nor a Chrysler/Fiat anything
If you got a great deal then I'd consider a Subie
Not much to look at but when you want a reliable high mileage car...

Otherwise stick to Toyota's and Honda's
and having put tons of miles on each
    I'd personally prefer the Toyota's
Not to poke CBD in the eye but given a coin toss I'd take the Toyota over the Honda

and both of them over pretty much anything else

Unless you are using your ride primarily to fish for trim
which is an entirely different proposition
    as Rube alludes

I love how most car commercials include some blurb about how high they are ranked in "initial customer satisfaction" or "initial quality". In other words the day you drive it off the lot...IT'S GREAT!

gay magic powder... you just KNOW that some well bent bible thumper is going to read that and say "aah hah! I knew it was that damned powder"

Seriously though I can see FIFA following the NBA instituting some sort of flopping penalty
