If I described to you what the sky and sun looks like here in NJ today, you'd think I was bullshitting you.
It's incredible, and has reached an index of 480 in the toxic air measuring scale where the max poison number is 500.
In contrast, Beijing, usually worst in the world, is about 160.
    Happy breathing, boyos.

Those images are mind blowing. Beijing wants its air back.

Putting our dog down on Thursday. Rescued him from the shelter at El Dorado Park in Long Beach 10 years ago. He stayed with my dad and step mom when I got married and moved out. Never seen a dog more obsessed with playing ball than Brian aka "Buddy". I'm devastated. Not the same as losing a human, but it's closer than I care to admit.

    Sorry.
It's simply a killer...I think of my dog every day, without fail, and I dream about him all the time.
The only thing wrong with dogs...
    They're not around long enough.

    my condolences brother
truly one of the toughest things in life
dogs give you unconditional love from the day you take them home
they also become family members that day too
our border collie “timmy” just turned nine, and it devastates me to think of life without him
so i choose to focus on all the days we have left with him
like diablo said, what other choice do we have
    again my condolences bro

do you ever think about bringing in an older guy looking for a friend?
my love for akitas has led me to really explore the breed and its so misunderstood that people are constantly giving up on their dogs
i think going forward i won't be so selfish to grab a pup and seek out older animals that got lost along the way

I have my gfs dog to take care of, which I'm thankful for, and she was here when I moved in with my boy Murphy. She's a senior now ( the dog and the gf) and the gf says no more dogs until her girl passes : OBEY.
I would absolutely rescue and older boy or girl...in a minute. Or two.

After getting fluids at the hospital, he is now eating again, playing ball, smiling, going to the bathroom by himself, etc.
He still has cancer and the end is imminent, but I'm glad he was able to come home with his loved oes and do what he loves most (play).
I have a compounding issue in that hapiness/joy actually makes me sad. So, it comes from both ends (not now, Irish).
Been through "worse", but eventually I have to confront some of the underlying problems that elevate basic grief into prolonged depression.
First to admit my generation (and me) is soft.
