    It's not positive, it sucks in a way because we cant officially turn the page on the Frank McCourt era as long as he owns the property but it's not really significant in any way besides the emotional.

    And the financial. In fact, it hurts way more financial than emotional. I'll bet we'll never actually see Frank McCourt again, but financially it will hurt. The owner will never admit it, cause then the owner would be admitting a mistake and would be criticizing his landlord in public. But he'll know that it fucking blows financially.

    any of those bids are going to have the parking lots in them
    if they dont then i will walk in if i must
    but that will cut down on the games i attend
    these guys better not under estimate the hatred for frank
    any deal with him is going to be a net negative to fans
    as much as i enjoy going to games i refuse to give him a dime
    and i know there are a lot more than just us that feel that way

    he still getting paid because he owns the lots. but yes it would be principle. if i could be flown in to games to avoid walking on property he owned i would do it.

    if frank makes a penny off anything (ticket sales, concessions, etc.)
    i will continue my boycott
    may not matter in the big scheme of things
    but it matters to me
    that fucken piece of shit will get nothing from me

    it pisses me off
    cohen, magic, et al should have colluded and refused to bid without the parking lots
    they're the ones with the leverage
    mccourt is the one with the deadline, not them
    if only they had the balls to utilize that leverage
    problem is they're so desperate to acquire the team
    and it was (selig's) desperation that got us into trouble in the first place

    it is unfortunate that these four bidders are driving up the price instead of flushing out this piece of shit
    i am hoping somehow he still manages to fuck it up and all the bidders pull out
    that would suck for us fans but man would i love to see him on his knees

    but mccourt's leverage is a byproduct of the bidders unwillingness to play hard ball
    jamie is due $131mm by april 30
    that's not some hypothetical or maybe, it's a contractual absolute
    if the bidders refused to bid sans parking lots
    mccourt would be squirming, guaranteed

    Here's my prediction as a grand gesture Frank lowers the parking fee by $5 so that he can stay in the city without being the victim of a drive by.

    that reminds me of a time when i was bartending shortly after the oj trial
    actually out in your neck of the woods devil -- at the warner center marriott
    i walk in to work and there's all this turmoil
    turns out oj and his posse are there
    my fellow bartenders say they won't wait on him
    oj doesn't come to the bar, but sends his white posse members up
    the dude actually says, and i'm not lying...
    "the juice wants a gin and tonic"
    the juice? really?
    i bit my lip and gave him "the juice's" beverage
    and the dude gave me a $20 tip (which i felt like throwing back at him)
    after a while the juice and his posse get up to leave
    and then it happens...
    this stupid skank from the souvenir shop comes running out and goes gaga over him
    "omg, its so great to meet you" etc...
    stupid fucken cunt was so enamored with his fame (infamy?) that she was willing to overlook the fact that he was a ruthless killer
