    it would be more of the same, maybe worse
    cards got so lucky last year. i dont want to see a colby rasmus for a rental sp and relief pitcher type deal

    TLR is a baseball living legend according to everyone

    the old school crowd would probably love it. just like they loved Torre

    but im so done with that. every team is getting with the program of the new school. we're not and even with a new owner, we're going to get even more old school than ned

    Cohen is a horrible choice guys. It doesn't matter if your payroll is 17 billion if you are an idiot with your moves. More money doesn't mean anything, smart money does. Dodgers don't suck cause we don't have a 200 million dollar payroll, we suck cause he person who makes decisions (Ned) is terrible.

    Not sure if I read this before or after he signed that contract, but I recall reading something like "The A's would let Beane walk if he was presented a better opportunity."

    If anyone else knows where that link is at that'd be great.

    Cohen and Larussa with Tellam may be a solid package but quite possibly not a solid Dodger package at this time. Not sure the existing clubhouse coaches/players would jell with or meet the image of the new owners wants. Larussa has his opinions and history with DBB (don't know what that is) along with the other coaches. He has his thoughts on Dre, Loney, Kemp, CK etc and that may or may not be positive. Can't believe Tony L would not be second guessing DBB or have his own choice of buds to bring in.

    The Angels play in Orange County, but Los Angeles is in the team name and that's good enough for me. Here's the latest on the Halos and Dodgers...
    • ESPN's Buster Olney says (on Twitter) that some baseball executives believe Magic Johnson's group is the frontrunner to buy the Dodgers. He notes that there is still a long, long way to go in the process.
    • Meanwhile, Bob Nightengale of USA Today hears that Tony LaRussa and agent Arn Tellem would assume front office positions with the Dodgers if Steve Cohen ends up buying the team. The four ownership finalists include Cohen's group, Magic's group, a group led by St. Louis Rams and Denver Nuggets owner Stan Kroenke, and a group led by Memphis Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley.
