i know the postseason is a crapshoot, yada, yada... but still nice to have any possible advantage The Dodgers victory over the Padres Sunday afternoon at Dodger Stadium gave them their best home record in Los Angeles history.
STEINER: "And it looks like Jimmy Rollins is taking time to give young Corey Seager some insight, Orel." HERSHISER: "Yeah, I remember Jerry Reuss doing the same thing for me. Who helped you Nomar?" NOMAR: "No one. I already knew what to do." HERSHISER: [thinking] "wow, idiot." STEINER: "Um... okay... Hey, we've got Jimmy miked, so let's see what he and Corey are talking about..." NOMAR: [thinking] "no one ever asks me for advice. bkitches." SEAGER: "Women like that?" ROLLINS: "Yup, specially tha white ones. When u grinding, give that fat ass a squeeze then slap it!" SEAGER: "Wow, thanks Jimmy! I didn't know that..." ROLLINS: "U welcome, now go getz me sum watta doe." NOMAR: "Shit, I knew that!" HERSHISER: "That's not what Mia said." STEINER: "Indeed." NOMAR: "Man, fuck you bkitches!!!" HERSHISER: "Now that she did say." STEINER: "Indeed."
It's no secret that Greinke does not like throwing on short rest, while Clayton does not have a problem with it, plus he has been on a pretty decent role for a couple of months so he'll get game 1. They say they aren't going to do it, but Clayton will do what he did with the Braves series and demand the ball for game 4 if it gets there. Kersh going 1,4 and Greinke going 2,5, let's hope the Mets bats falling asleep down this past week can carry over into the post season.
interesting hope he chokes on his words like david cone in '88... The Mets’ decision to start the rookie Noah Syndergaard in Game 2 of the NLDS in Los Angeles, as opposed to Game 3 at home, presents some intrigue. The 23 year old has a 2.46 ERA in 12 home starts this season, and a 4.23 ERA in 12 road starts. Syndergaard was quoted as saying that he believed the Mets would "give it to the Dodgers" regardless of where they played.
I only ask that the bases be clear when Cespedes steps to the plate. Sound the gotdamn alarms if not. His OPS is outta this world with RISP and in high leverage situations. RBI maniac. Oh and his OPS is only like 1.300 on the 1st pitch, so lets not have the baseball be anywhere near the plate to open his AB. For some reason he's hit waaaaay better on the road, so " danger Will Robinson " right out of the gates in Game 1 and Game 2.
i get it tbh he can play 2b, 3b, even 1b better option than guerrero or svs and he's definitely performed on the big stage before (albeit, not recently) still, depends who's spot he takes on the roster if it's the aforementioned guerrero/svs idgaf but if he takes a spot away from someone like ruggiano or an additional pitcher...
