Puig is #1 in total games played for the Dodgers this year. How consistent for this walking hamstring injury.
What he is managing from the 8th spot in the lineup is pretty remarkable.
He is #2 on the Dodgers in the following stat categories.

    Home Runs
    RBI
    Walks
    Steals
    At Bats Per HR

He brings in runs, powers them home, gets on base, runs the bases, and has a great chance to him a home run whenever he comes to bat. Plus his cannon arm, gold glove, and speed down the field make him a player that carries all the tools.

Add that to a temperament of a two yr old and the baseball IQ of a pencil.

I love what he's done so far, but I can't overlook the other stuff.

Fall and I have been going back and forth between Puig and Pederson, I with Puig, Fall with Pederson. Since Ruven posted an ode to Puig, I can see Fall having a comment on it.

It's a shame they don't play on the same team, then you could support both of them.

We all support both of them. I have no desire to move Joc unless it is part of a big deal where we upgrade massively. Like Trout.
But that would be the same with Puig, if we can get Trout... see ya Piggy!
Most of us support both players because they are Dodgers.
This is a pro Puig thread, not a bash Joc thread.
Joc is great, just more flawed than Puig.

Yasiel has games where he , offensively, flat out blows.
    Like last night.
But he seems to be able to do something, before it's all over, that has huge impact on the outcome...like that sparkling diving catch last night, that changed it all around.
He does have that kind of magic , for sure.
It just swirls around some guys now and then, and he's one of them.

He may end up with a gold glove and 30 HR.....and that would really suck too! :)

I'm just impressed that he's staying healthy - that is so key for him.

To his credit, he has gotten a lot leaner and is playing better so clearly, he's listening to Ward and the training staff as well.
Everyone can grow up and learn a thing or two. How pissed would the people on here, who do nothing but rail on the guy ad nauseum like giggity giggity giggity robots be if he were raking in Milwaukee while we paid that dickhead Braun to be day to day on the bench?

A pig in the hand is worth a dick in the bush.

Hmmm... a dick in the bush isn't that bad of an option either. Wait... what were we talking about again?
