    I wouldn't buy a CD or download their music but if they're on the radio I can handle. They're just another pretty generic rock band. I have no problems with them.

    I thought everything before that was great, and then that started the decline.

    I really liked their fun stuff when I was younger, a great pop punk band with some talent and enjoyable stupidity. Then they tried to follow lots of bands with some "George Bush sucks!" type bullshit but did it in a way that was way too obvious/obnoxious and out of character to me.

    bingo. they were that pseudo punk "when masturbations lost its fun, you're fucking lonely" band. they were clever. but between the ballads and "american idiot" shit i lost interest in them and their fag make up.

    While that is true, I think a lot of that had to do with money (it always does). AI was their best selling album I believe. Tbh, there were a few good songs on there other than the main ones (American Idiot, Blvd of Broken Dreams, etc.).
