Dirty Jersey? I think I used to live and grew up in DJ, but now I live in the clean part...do you know in what cities they are?
I guess the only other burger joints you've been to are McDonalds and Burget King, bkitch. Honestly, in n out is so shitty. Their fries suck dick and their burgers are good (patties are thin as shit tho), but not good enough for that 15 minute wait.
Remember Two Guys well and my dad would take us to the original one. Got my toys from there. Five Guys is a great burger chain with fresh French Fries and a ton of fixings. Free shelled peanuts etc etc.
This is why you will never be the real Bleed Blue. Personally, I love burgers but rarely go to In N Out. In LA/OC we are blessed to have a ton of mom & pop burger dives on every other corner (having lived in Las Vegas and San Diego I've learned that this is not something to take for granted), and on most days I crave these more than an In N Out burger . But every once in a while a Double Double Animal Style with those thick slices of cheese and grilled onions is a treat that few things compare to.
I disagree. I rather enjoy In N Out fries. I think it's the oil they cook them in plus being actually fresh cut potatoes that makes them taste so different from say McDonalds.
I couldn't say, but you know the area so you're probably right. This was back in '04 and I just stumbled across it looking for lunch one day. I was on a job at Edelbrock there.
In N Out fries are made in front of you with nothing but potatoes you watch them cut, oil they are fried in and salt. Mc Barfo's, Jack in the Crack and Booger Queen all use precut fries that are spray coated with hydrolized potato mash which fries up most instantly in an oil bath thus producing crispier fries than possible when using raw potatoes. Soooo you like that shit?? Yeah me too and so do the vast majority of Americans studied in the potato companies taste tests. But it feels good to watch them cut potatoes and eat those same fries. Oh well... In N Out makes good burgers but they are far from the best... maybe top 5 in fast food but again only when compared to other shitty fast food burgers
There was a Habit next to where I worked in San Diego, so I've been there quite a few times. The Habit is legit, and works in a pinch. But for the most part I'm anti-chain, and I wouldn't go out of my way to hit The Habit like I would for In-N-Out.
I think it's officially time to change the title of this thread to "Puig in Australia / Burgers in America"
Habbit is legit..In & Out is staple..Lucky to live walking distance to one. But you all must try Juicy Burger..THE BEST IVE EVER HAD the fries are damn good as well. There are only Two that I know of and both are in Hollywood. One of the only things I really miss about not working down there anymore.
