    • Alex Verdugo and Willie Calhoun accounted for all of Oklahoma City's offense in a 6-1 win Thursday over Iowa. Verdugo went 3-for-5 with a solo homer, his second, two runs scored and a steal out of the leadoff spot, while Calhoun plated five courtesy of his 11th homer, a three-run shot, an RBI triple and a sacrifice fly.

    Just laugh. The guy is fucking shit. He simply doesn't have a single redeeming feature. I would be shocked if the merch department has sold a single Forsythe shirt. He's the worse. Yet we've got this midget tearing up AAA, and has a questionable glove so we're going to play this fucker and 109 year old Chase and not even give him a look. Little people are people too, or is it because Calhoun is black? Fucking racist AF.

    so urias is 3-0 at okc
    but a look at today's box score is still a bit troubling
    94 pitches in 5⅔ innings
    if he can't cut down on the pitch count he won't be much help to the big club, unless its out of the pen
    joc with another hr against some scrub who was probably throwing underhand
    box score

    Only 1 walk so it wasn't wildness. 8 K's drives up the pitch count and hitters making contact as well but no doubt count HAS to come down.

    94 pitches is 94 pitches
    especially for someone known for throwing too many
    sounds like he's still trying to make too many perfect pitches instead of just pitching to contact
    curious how many times he was ahead 0-2 and then let it get to 2-2 or 3-2

    It's a commonly held concept that getting several strikeouts gets your pitch count up, right or wrong that's the norm. I have always maintained that he doesn't trust his stuff enough but hey he's still a kid. Agree 100% it has to improve.

    agree on not trusting his stuff
    hence trying to make too many perfect pitches
    hopefully that will change with time/maturity
    kersh used to have the same problem and i guess he turned out okay lol

    The Kershaw kid has potential! I take it for granted that Kershaw is an imposing figure at 6'4", he towered over some of the old-timers I saw yesterday.
