    Ethier, Yaz....doesn’t matter.

The core players have to produce.

He does lately and I get it but he did hit Morton and Barnes has been offensively challenged hitting .111 vs Hou and .219 in October. I'm still a fan but Yaz's numbers vs Morton + struggling Barnsey should have at least to start = Yaz.

The Astros have a great team and their coach seems to be showing our coach up with how to have confidence in his players which instills confidence in them each game.
Our pitchers are scared because they know that if they dont look perfect Dave is gonna pull them. That shit dont work for the anxiety problem some of these pussies already have.
So today Dave saying that Wood is expected to go deep is hopefully their way of admitting that the approach has been wrong the past games and that their is a new directive to match what the Astros have done.

But for the future I think Adrian retires. Wood and Maeda become the starters by default but hopefully our long relief specialists when a starter cant carry his expected load. 6 Innings should be the minimum expected load of a starter. A guy like Hill for instance if he is still part of the starting rotation then Wood and Maeda must both be relievers if not one of them takes his start in the rotation in case of injury or whatever. Urias gets his shot next year as the 5th starter and has to fight it out with Buehler and the loser becomes a reliever. But that may be moot if one of them is traded which may happen.
Resign Yu who gets more help from our pitching coach next season and improves. Yu helps us sign Otani who should be the 4th starter.

    Kershaw
    Yu
    Otani
    Urias/Buehler
    Hill/Ryu/Maeda/Wood

Jansen, Watson, Morrow, Cingrani, Baez form the backbone of relief specialists who are joined by the starters who are not in the rotation for long relief.

Corey and Bellinger will hopefully mature. Barnes will get more stamina or the Dodgers will mix in Farmer or one of the C prospects more to keep him fresh. Grandal may be good as gone and part of a trade.
Forsythe may be able to be resigned as a cheap LH bat with good versatyle defense. He may understand that his value is not that high anymore. Utley has to retire I suppose/hope.
Oh and trade for Giancarlo Stanton of course.

    1B: Seager
    CF: Puig
    RF: Stanton
    3B: Turner
    LF: Bellinger
    2B: Taylor
    C : Barnes
    SS: Culberson

Bench: Toles vs righties, Kike vs lefties, and some catcher like Farmer or Will Smith and a guy or two we are not expecting.

Otani will be cheap, but Yu and Stanton additions will be expensive. The Ethier, Guerrero, Crawford contract money expires and takes care of that salary addition.
Then after next year Ryu, McCarthy and Adrian's salary goes away which will impact the payroll in a very positive way.

This can work for a good 3 or 4 year run. Once they all start getting a little older there can be a shift.
Bellinger goes to 1B full time.
Turner is done and Seager becomes the 3B.
Puig moves back to RF and Stanton to LF.
Kendal, Diaz, Peters, Heredia, or maybe even Joc/Trayce/Verdugo/Toles if they are still on the team/system will be playing CF by that time.

i have little faith in wood [no sexual enhancements]
finished the season 5-3 / 4.25, then gave up 3 jacks in <5 ip in his one post start
have a feeling we're going to lose, and lose badly... like 12-0 badly
i'll root for the blue and hope i'm wrong
but wood needs to not only be effective tonight -- he needs to pitch deep into the game
i just don't see either happening
i dare you to prove me wrong alex... bkitch

I feel like I have to sit out this game.

It's like my usual routines, prayers, and ritual sacrifices are not working.

I may just have to drink myself silly and pass out before the game starts.

One thing no one has really talked about is the Dodgers reaction to that assclown mocking their teammate. This might be the thing that fires our boys up and gets them going. Better yet, put one in his ribs.

That's all I got because the more I think about it, Wood makes me want to start drinking (already started) heavy.

    both hopefully
then again wood is too much of a pussy to throw inside, let alone drill someone (again alex, prove me wrong bkitch)
which, in retrospect, might actually be a good thing... it could fire up the astros too
    best would be a painful 0-4 with 4 k's

    well yeah, there's that
