    This.

On paper we had a complete team. We had career years or near career years from almost everyone. Players who greatly outperformed expectations, and not just one, but 5 guys I can think of off the top of my head. If a team like this can't go confidently into the playoffs and win, then I don't know who can. If it truly is a crapshoot, like most say, then what's the point?

It's going to take some time to process. I feel exhausted, but that probably has more to do with having a new baby. But it's the first time we've ever played this many playoff games this late. The playoffs are too damn long.

Was kind of numb after Game 5. This didn't hurt as much as I thought it would.

Dave is to blame he made to many stupid decisions.

He should of pulled Darvish as he was crap.

Wood, Kershaw and Hill should have pitched.

Then you wouldn't have been down 5 runs .... but Seager,Bellinger need to learn from there failures and learn to adjust. Ad a team leaving to many risk was to much. But Dave allowing his pitcher to sell the farm was stupid

Because one pitcher got hammered in the Series?

Tipping his pitches or not, he had nothing. Those were batting practice sliders with no break.

Doesn't help when the entire lineup takes a dump, either. But you're right, it starts with the starting pitching.

Morton aside, Astro pitchers gave them a lot of chances to get back into it. The big hit never came.

This is the reason we lost. 2-3-4 hitters sucked ass. Can't win a World Series when your clean-up hitter breaks the record for strike outs in the playoffs. Yes, Roberts out smarted himself a bunch of times this series, but overall a lot of what he did got us to this point. That being said, it was a great season and we got to the WS. The youngsters will be another year older (hopefully 1 year wiser) and maybe Dave learned a lesson or two.

Had a great time joining you guys form this WS run. Plan to be a lot more active on the Dodger page and Lakers, even though that's hard. Thanks to all of you for making the unbearable bearable.

if im being selfish it would have been great to celebrate that w mom
was really cool celebrating all the wins together and have no idea if she has another run in her
have no idea if i do for that matter
when you see the opposition pull their starter (who admitted he had nothing) w the score 5-0 it says a lot
it was game 7 and you just can't leave a guy out there to cough up 5 runs when everyone but dave can see its not his night
would be somewhat more forgivable if we didn't have a fresh wood, kershaw and maeda sitting in the pen watching
he had even said it was his strength and he would use everyone and yet he didn't
my wife had a perceptive comment that i think deserves some thought
dave is half japanese and the japanese have that whole honor thing that runs pretty deep
could that have played any role in sticking w yu as long as he did?
he sure seemed oblivious to the fact anything happened and played it off shit happens
at least i saw cody take responsibility for not making adjustments...but why?

you're a young man and it hurts more because it means so much
everyone of the older guys here know exactly what you mean
its like losing a really good gf cause the pain is real and physical
today you need to put on your Dodger hat and walk out proudly into the world
little by little the pain will go away
we failed but thats the farthest we made it in 29 years
i like out chances going forward
this is still our team and no one feels worse than those guys atm
game 7 of the WS? fuck i'm proud of them
that was a really good houston team and they found a way to beat us

What sucks is that my gf broke up with me two months ago and was doing my best to not have her on my mind by following the team. It helped because they were doing so well but last night was a gut punch.

Im proud, but damn today sucks.

This was probably the best Dodger team since the 70s ( and arguably ever if we're going by record) and we still lost. I think that's what hurts the most.

Last night I was just relieved it was over. This morning...definitely hurts.

Actually there was the whole Kershaw tipping pitches shit the other year against STL too
At some point, can we pick up our own guy's habits before the opposing team does?

Sorry to hear about that, man.
Sounds cheesy but just you'll find someone else and the Dodgers will win the world series at some point.

I text my Dad this morning not to worry me.
I can honestly say in the past 15 years of attending Dodger games, I can only remember a handful of notable plays on the field.
My clearest memories are sitting next to my Dad in Loge and listening to Dodger Talk on the 101, 5, and 605 fwy. THAT's what I'm taking with me when I'm old. Not the failures or the successes of the team.

Losing this series hurts. But I'm alright.

    This.
    Trust me.
BTW... losing my girl probably factored into the creation of DSP a lot more than most other reasons.
